oh, and once, a frat bro of mine was playing volleyball outside in the summer (without his shirt of course) and he went up for a block, and when he was coming back down, his nipple ring got caught in the net, and ripped it out.

Okay, I'm in pain VSlover.
And yes, the nipple does hurt. The first one hurt but I was jacked up for it. When the time came a minute or so later for the second, the adrenalin was gone, and I encountered the WORST pain I ever felt. Thats the only reason I still have them...the pain I went through to get them in the first place.

I'm down to just one... on my left ear, the cartiledge. At one point I had two in each lobe, left cartiledge.. right nipple, and tongue. None hurt at all. The worst thing was just the swelling on the tongue...

So, like... err... Why do they call it a Prince Albert?
That volleyball story made me cringe (still spazing); So did the bit about someone wanting a prince albert.
Reason the nipple piercing hurt so much is because there are literally millions of nerve endings located in that spot.

The Prince Albert from what I hear doesn't hurt because you're pretty much poking a hole through blank cartilage with no nerve endings. Also, from what I've heard about it the only painful part is when the needle initially enters the *ahem* hangar. I had considered having it done at one time but opted not to because of the maintenance and certain parents and a particular brother possibly hearing about it.
