I usually roll my eyes when I hear of something Britney said. But I gotta admit, there isn't a shred of hate in her voice here. I remember what i did when I got home that night. (after a 14 hour day when I didn't have to go in) I woke my wife up and just gave her a big hug.

Yes, her words are nice; I'd have almost bet she'd confuse 9/11 with 7/11, the convenience store. Nice to know also there actually are thoughts in her head instead of merely the air blowing in one ear and out the other. However, there's just enough of a cynic in me to suspect this line was suggested by her publicist with an eye on getting some good PR to counter complaints about the sleaziness of her act. I'd prefer to think she's sincere, however.

Her remarks are very similar to the thoughts of most Americans, why make a big deal about them simply because they come from her?

The fact that most hollywood types are leftists and would not past up the opportunity like that to knife the current adminstration....See Susan Surandon, Michael Moore, Martin Sheen...ect ect ect.

Clearly this Howard Mortman character believes that a stupid answer to a stupid question, especially one that steers clear of condemning our ridiculous government is a sign of refreshing candor and intelligence.
Now if she had said "I wanted to go to bed..." and then added "Dubya is a moron" this Mortman guy would have raked her over the coals.
It only shows that he is even skankier than her. And, perhaps, even stupider.

I'm not that interested in what Britney has to say about 9/11.
What's really unpleasant is that Britney may have strenuously avoided scoring any points, MSNBC sure have the gloves out for anyone who dares to question the mighty USA - pity Madonna, Dustin Hoffman, Norman Mailer, Susan Sarandon ("Let us hate war in all its forms, whether the weapon used is a missile or an airplane" - evil traiterous bitch!), a Backstreet Boy. And what the hell did Cher do to piss off MSNBC?! She's embarrassed cos her ex is kissing up to Dan Quayle? Well, who wouldn't be? Ugh! And for this, they're insinuating that everyone's laughing at her? "Poor Cher. I hope she doesn’t think Sonny Bono is the only one who has ever laughed at her." What the fuck's that all about?!
Horrible horrible stuff. And Britney still serves no earthly purpose.

Well Matt D, her records ain't doing much on this side of the pond. The concert ticket sales work in the US because each 12-17 year old counts as at least two sales (one parent or older sibling guardian) and sometimes four (mum and dad, little sis in tow). My mate just came back from Miami where he worked on the DVD of the Onyx Hotel tour DVD and he said she's a nice person who works hard, good show etc., but she cannot sing ("can't carry a tune in a basket") or dance, apparently. Think I posted that on this forum the other day actually, can't think where if it wasn't on this thread. Cheers!

True, but I don't know how true this is, but my opinion is that as for the last decade or so, the emphasis has shifted away from singing ability and more on dancing ability.
How a "singer" looks and how well they can dance appears to definitely be more important than the musical value of their work. At least that's what I assume, inasmuch as I haven't liked any popular music since about 1990.
Of course, I could also be a stuck in the 70's and 80's old fart as well.
