LA Nova of Buffalo was voted the best in the country. They really do have good Pizza.

Chains generally suck.

Scotty-

I've had them both.....and I will say BOTH are Excellent.

Here in BNA we have a small chain called Roma's. I had their Greek Pizza this weekend. Feta Cheese, Black Olives, Oregano, Olive oil, Garlic and Tomatos.......it was REALLY good..!!!!

CPK is really good, I like their wide variety of pizza's.

Scotty, you might want to check out Oregano's Pizza Bistro. There's 4 in the Phoenix area... 10th St & Camelback, Scottsdale & Osborn, Scottsdale & Shea, and on University in Tempe. Friday and Saturday nights it can be hard to get a table, but they have the best thin crust pizza I've found. They have a deep dish pizza, but in the menu it straight out tells you you'll wait a lot longer for it!

They also have the best desert... the Pizzookie! Half baked cookie topped with excellent vanilla ice cream. You have to try it.

There's a local chain on Oahu called Boston's North End Pizza Bakery, they're about the best I've had.

Of the chain pizzas, my favorite is Papa John's.

I'm with you on that one, Cactus739. Oregano's is fantastic (a buddy of mine manages the one at Scottsdale and Shea, which is about 2 miles from my house) for pizza, but their sandwiches are great also.

CPK makes an awesome Hawaiian pizza though, which is my personal fave.  Big thumbs up

The best pizza I've EVER had though? Gumby's Pizza, which can only be found in college towns.

There used to be one on Rural and Broadway in Tempe, near ASU..but they closed their doors last summer.  Sad

EA CO AS,
I've yet to go to the one at Scottsdale & Shea... I drive past it every day on my way to work (I work about 2 miles away too).. what's the lunch crowd like? Standing room only?

Pretty much. The place is always packed.

Come to think of it, I've never seen an Oregano's that wasn't packed!

Gumby's is the worst crap I've ever eaten. The only thing semi-decent on their menu are the pokey stix, and that's all anyone around here seems to order from them. There are much better places for pizza, like Five Star Pizza here in Gainesville, who can churn out a good and equally important cheap pizza. One of the better delivery places I've tried.

Then you can walk over to Sammy B's pizza on the Northeast corner of Cactus and Tatum, right next to Today's Swim and Patio. Great pizza!
