Whenever I visit http://www.airfleets.net to get fleet info, the page barely loads before some kind of spyware sends me to http://www.errorplace.com I have added the website with 127.0.0.1 to the hosts file to keep it from loading, but that just causes error 404. It only happens on that site. I'm using the Google Popup Blocker and AnalogX POW! Popup blocker. I ran Ad-Aware very recently and there are no unidentified/malicious processes running. I'm on a Sony Vaio, Pentium 4 2.4GHz, 512MB RAM, Windows XP Home SP1 fully updated, and IE6 SP1 Fully Updated. Help please! NO "get " or "get a Mac" messages, please.

Well the page loads for me so i guess it must be your machine still. Adaware sometimes misses stuff so try downloading spybot, its a bit more thorough. Otherwise get a mac, lol actually no don't do that!

OK I've figured out the issue. It's media.fastclick.net ads loading a spyware called Roings. I now need to figure out the IP of the evil site- http://www.errorplace.com/red.php?c={F70187F4-589C-4072-89B5-B37E581EAFFC}&aff=wizteen&q=fastclick Can anyone help me with that? I now have a firewall and am running 2 spyware scanners.

OK it's a regkey called roimoi causing all the problems. Is there any way to block a regkey from being created?

Usually to stop a reg key is tell the computer not to start it in the first place. I downloaded a little program that lets you choose what your computer will start when booting. You can get it here :http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml. It amazing what kind of crap your computer runs when you start it.

You can get another program called NoAdware that scanns your comp for spyware and deletes it, very useful. It not free, unless you can find one otherwise  Big grin.

I dunno, it doesn't seem to load at startup, it activates later.

This regkey will not stay off my computer. If I destroy the code, but leave the key, that should disable it right?

I know you told us you didn't want us to say this, but....

Try using Mozilla or Opera instead of Internet Explorer.

I like Internet Explorer. Should I reinstall it? I have an excellent and reputable site that tells you how.

You can try the Google toolbar as well.
Go to http://www.toolbar.google.com and download it. It features a pop-up blocker.
I downloaded it last year, and I have'nt had a problem with pop-ups since.

I have it too. It's great, but doesn't help. Again, should I just reinstall IE?
