I was doing the laundry today and the thought hit me: What do other parents find in the pockets of their kid's clothes?

I have found in no specific order:

Rocks

A shard of glass (I guess we were lucky that a cut didn't result)

Crayons

More rocks

Acorns

Papers, notes, etc

Hersheys Kisses

Rocks again

Toy jewelry

So, what are you finding in your kid's clothing before you wash it??

Always a pallbearer, never a corpse.

Call me old fashioned, but a person with the username, "The Gov" should never be asking about what they find in the pockets of small children...  Big grin

I've had a lot of years to go through the pockets, what with a 14 year old girl, 11 year old son and a 5 year old son. LOTS of pockets.  Laugh out loud

Well, when I was 16 my dear old mum was doing my washing and found a condom in my pocket.

She is a practicing catholic (although I certainly ain't) and let's just say she was less than impressed ...... In fact I thought that maybe she would have preferred if I had come home with a bastard child!  Laugh out loud

Regards,
Gordon.

Gordon,

I had exactly the same experience.... and to this day, I double check every one of my pockets before I put anything in the wash!

Gee, I must be lucky: I almost never find anything in the pockets of my kid's clothes.

Gordon,
That's why when my mother insisted that I learn how to do my own laundry at 14, I didn't argue one bit... found those, and some other embarassing stuff, rolling around the dryer on several occasions over the years.

Today, even though I'm happily single with no runts, I still find odd stuff in the wash (yes, I still haven't gotten into the habit of checking the pockets before putting the cloths in the wash). The strangest thing is all the money I find. I really think that either the washer or dryer is printing 3 or 4 $1 bills each week.
