What Do You Think Of Sean Hannity?

I've seen Limbaugh, Franken, O'Reilly, etc frequently mentioned here...

...but what about another powerful polarizing force in political media: Sean Hannity?

For those of you who've never heard of him: he's the conservative co-anchor of FoxNews' Hannity & Colmes (the highest rated debate program on cable television ever) as well as ABCNews' The Sean Hannity Show, which is 2nd only to Rush in terms of average listeners nationwide.

If you've never heard of him/his shows... and you'd like to listen to his radio program to get an idea, it can be heard for free (24hrs) HERE.

Your thoughts?

Don't care for him on the radio, and I think he gets a little over-zealous at times on t.v. But he hates Liberals,.... and although I can't say I have ever "hated" anyone, Liberals would be right up there on the list.

We get him here in ATL and he's a co-hort of Neil Boortz..of sorts. I like Boortz even though I don't always agree with him...at least he makes you think. On the other hand, Hannity tends to be shall we say.... Somewhat Sanctimonious. But, I have been known to give a listen every now and again. He kind of reminds me of the Dr. Laura of political discussions.  Big grin

Socially yes.

Fisco/politically or by employment-- they're not.

I wouldn't call him the same hole  Smile as 'Fly does, but he sure is too full of himself and displayingly (is that a word?) loves to hear said self yatter before anyone can answer a question. Personally, I've got to the point of boredom with most of the political shows (and Hannity and Colmes gets high marks on my boredom list, even though they purport to give "equal" time). Perhaps the worse TV guys on my list are Carville and Begala who seem to be in competition with Hannity's increasingly sophomoric style.

Maybe I'm just getting bored with TV...I don't even like "American Chopper" as much as I used to. Regards...Jack

The only radio station I listen to in the car is NPR (National Public Radio).
Always somehting new and interesting on NPR.
The AM radio loudmouths just spout out stupidity and hatred. THere is nothing of value or inteligence on the politically biased conservative stations.
I just want in depth unbias presentation of what's going on in the world. That's why I prefer Michael Krasny, Don Gonyea, Terry Gross and Bob Woodward.

I don't know about that CB.... Boortz isn't exactly a card carrying Democrat, by any means, but true he's not AS conservative as Hannity. He's more middle-of-the-road and not by Libertarian standards. He tends to lean more to the right. Suffices to say, they tend to sit on the same side of the bench more often than not. Some people think Hannity is the best thing since sliced bread. I just don't happen to join in that consensus, that's all.  Big grin

I can listen to him only for a few minutes before I become ill. Its funny to listen to him spin things into being liberals fault. Anything bad that happens is the liberals fault. And if he can't blame it on the liberals he just ignores it or starts talking about Clinton.... He's pretty predictable.

He's a a$$ that wears blinders like I've never seen before...and I'm conservative. On the other hand you have Alan Colmes who is slightly more engaging than the tie he wears. Sean Hannity is the epitome of unwavering support for anything the Republicans do, which is fine if you're into 100% partisan politics, but you'd think they'd get a better opposing force than the mundane Alan Colmes, who just bumps along and never really has a point.

Maybe strange for a European but I adore Sean Hannity, he is my voice of hope in the European liberal hell ! I listen to his program on through the internet EVERY single day, for three hours  Laugh out loud
For a while I was able to tune in to the Fox News Channel too, so I watched the "Hannity and Colmes" every evening after the O'reilly factor, but the cable host discontinued fox (it was eight months ago). Now I can only get CNN and crap like that, haven't even watched TV since then.
If I weren't able to listen to conservative American talk radio I do not know what I would do, because I hate all the liberal stuff that is going on here on this continent, I would probably move.

You gotta be kidding me with this!

....particularly on such programs as "All Things Considered", where they give you about 3 minutes of News everyone else is reporting, then 27minutes of music from some obscur composer/artist that no one knows/cares about.

Yeah, maybe Maverick has identified a point in my subconscious...if Alan Colmbes would open up and really take a stand, it would undoubtably be a better debate. Do we think Colmbes is a conservative "plant?". Probably not, but he's also probably not the man to be sitting across from Mr. yakkety-yak. Regards...Jack

Concordeboy; I don't know who I'd recommend. You mentioned Franken whom I've only heard a couple of times for a couple of minutes (sleep rapidly ensues). I only suggest they get somebody with a little more power of presence to balance out Hannity's non-stoppedness (another new word?).

As much as I am cool to Begala, he might be a better $$ bet? Hey, Don Imus loves Paul Begala, so he's got to be better? (Now that I think about it, I believe Imus likes Colmbes, too). Regards...Jack

I used to listen to him a lot on my way to work. As far as conservative talk radio goes I like him better than Rush Limbaugh, I like him less than Michael Savage.
My favorite talk radio personality: Art Bell, I still like coast to coast with George Norrey but Art is still great on the weekends. It's all just entertainment anyway.
I do also listen to a lot of NPR. It happens to be on the classical music station here in Cincinnati and I like classical music. I'm not informed about classical music, but I like listening to it.
