I've been spending a lot of time on the computer lately. Nevermind the fact that I work 8 hours/day, 5 days a week on a computer (mechanical engineer),
but i come home and spend more time on it...

I surft the news (most of the time)...
this site..
somethimes on MSN...

I don't play videogames anymore (on the computer)...

I think I'm addicted to the computer...

What the hell can I do to change that? Ok, it's summer time... I bought a bike, my gf bought two dogs. I'm hoping to get out more...

still it's not working as good as I want to....

Yes - and even worse, I'm supposed to be revising for my 1st year uni exams, one of which I failed miserably today. There was a post on here a few weeks ago, saying that a.net is evil - and it is! I just can't help but switch my computer on, and taking a break from revision every few minutes to press refresh and read the latest replies. It's so time consuming, but it's just addictive.

At least if I fail my degree, I'll know what the shortcomings of the A340-600 are, whether Virgin USA will fly 737s or A320s, and will know where America West's new hub is should I require a flight with them. Useful, I'm sure you'll agree.

Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away...

At work I have to sit infront and use three computers for 8 hours every stinking day, so I never get the urge to sit down infront of my computer at home.
If I feel a bit violent I usually sit down and play Vietcong for a while...

I too spend 8 hours daily at work in front of several computers with multiple systems and programs. I never thought I would be one to be addicted to anything, but lo and behold, I spend a few hours a day at home on the computer. If our world 25 years ago had what we have now with all the Internet, E-Mail, and the like, I would have been a nerd!

I spend around 5 hours per day on my computer in free time at home.
I have been using computers in my job since 1978 so it is many years now.

Its sad but yea i guess im addicted.

Turn it on when i get up, then that's it basically until the evening. Im like Kaz, mates live too far away, TV sucks until 6pm and college doesn't start back up until September!

I listen to Radio1 all day online and keep Yahoo and MSN msngrs turned on, periodically changing my status when i get bored, then occasionally talking to people.

Sometimes go on FS2K4 and fly really dumb routes like MAN-LPL as fast as i can. Or fly 60 miles out to see cut the engines and glide back to earth to see where i crash......Oh wow i need a job!

Then theres of course the dreaded A.net. What more can i say, F5 all the time.

One Life, Live it.

Well my laptop crashed big time last week and I didn't have time to fix it as I was in the middle of my exams. Anyway it drove me mad not being able to use, its my window on the world, so I guess you could say i'm addicted. Well, I couldn't live without it.
Gutted that i've lost all my FlightSim stuff, oh well I guess it's a good time to go out and get a 'real' life!  Big grin

To be honest I'm beginning to hate computers. I have to work with them for my degree and write programs day in day out, and its getting to me.

Although I have to say when I'm alone at home I do tend to grab my laptop with MSN and watch TV with my laptop on my knee chatting to people.

Cant wait till I'm out of uni though, so then I can forget all out programming
