I only recent got into the game's demo and like it. When I heard there is a part 2 coming out, I thought why not get the first, but the lowest I can find online is US$45. Is it worth the money?

I admit in having loads of fun just playing the demo over and over again. Takes me three hours every time.

YES.....HALO in any form is worth it.....we usually play it on Xbox, but the PC version was equally as good....The best is having a 16 person multiplayer setup (4 Xbox's), so an 8 v.8 bloodbath  Big thumbs up True bonding...

Buy it dude, it's worth the investment.

Don't waste your money on it, buy Battlefield 1942 instead  Smile/happy/getting dizzy. That being said, I know a lot of people like it. I just don't happen to be one of them.

I've played the full XBOX version and the PC Demo (I can get through the demo level in about 20 minutes). Probably not worth it for the PC unless you have the hardware the get all the eye candy, otherwise the graphics (while still good) are just not like they are on the XBOX.

That said I still think it is a great game 2 years later. Great playability and hours and hours of playtime. The much delayed sequel should be even better. And with XBOXs now selling for $149.99 even more reason to ask Santa for one, or just buy it yourself.

How many Campaigns/Missions are there, 10, 15, 20? That's what I worry about, sometimes with new games or magazines, I go threw them instantly within 30 min - 3 hrs and get bored.

I admit I hated it at first, I'm more of a strategy type, always hated car-race and first person shooter games. But then I got into the Need for Speed: Underground demo and the Halo demo. I liked NfS:U, 111 races, wow. The NfS:U game (friend ripped it for me) may have kill my HD via VM overwork, so with Halo I was thinking of getting a 512 mg ram upgrade. They aren't cheap, 109 was the lowest.

BTW, does anyone wanna buy a Dell 128MB DDR RAM, PC2100/266MHz, 200-pin, SODIMM off of me, 30 bucks? Big grin

Halo has 9 or 10 levels to progress through, and four difficulty levels that go from too easy to insanely hard. I could probably play through the entire game on the medium high difficultly in just 3 or 4 hours now. Since I have won it a few times I know how to run through the levels.

I figure that as a new player it would take at least an hour to play through each level. Taking longer as you get to the later levels which seem longer to me. It is well worth it, especially when you get to drive the Scorpion.

On the demo I feel the alien weapons are way cooler than the human ones (except the Warthog, which is why I take so long, I insist on having it and two guys with me), does that 'trend' continue in the full version or will you make me buy it to see for myself?  Smile

I already recorded the ocean sounds in the game as a nighttime soundtrack when I sleep, it's so realistic!

I would not say that the alien weapons are all that much better than the human weapons. Each one has their strengths and weaknesses. Personally I am a fan of the needler... gotta like the spray and pray capability it has. Works extremely well against elites. The assault rifle is probably the best all around weapon in the game, if you use it right. The pistol is pretty good too, again if you use it right. The plasma pistol is ok, use it only if you really need to. B/c at some points in the game it will be the most readily available. The plasma rifle is probably the most powerful of the weapons I have listed, but runs out of ammo very quickly. The rocket launcher is only worth having to fight the big guys. The sniper rifle (you only see it in 3 or 4 levels) is pretty useful. The shotgun becomes my prefered weapon later in the game, you will quickly learn why.

The human vehicles are better, IMO, than the Covenant vehicles.

You should buy the game and find out.

The needler is great for multiplayer...okay, I spend most of my Halo time doing that with the 'buds.....the needler and some grenades help out alot...and an over shield  Big thumbs up

Whenever I start out with the assult rifle, I usually stick with it...50 rounds is gooood for me.
