1. As a nation, we watch too much television.
2. As a nation, we eat too much sugar.

Come on, come all, I dare anyone to refute those two claims.

What a bloody hypocrite you are, DeltaGuy. I suppose it's the Christian thing to do to brag about "supposed" premarital sex, and flat-out lying to unsuspecting kids over the Internet?

What kind of backwards religion says watching too much tv is a sin?

eating an extra glazed donut is more sinful than shooting your neighbor in the head?

Oh please...you sound like the jesus freaks that parade around the street near nightclubs and try to "spead God's word" in the parking lot. We haven't moved away from God (insert specific God here), weve moved away from Personal Responsibility and our responsibilities as parents.

my 2 cents.

Actually, you are 100% wrong on that one buddy. America was formed as a safe haven for different religions. Freedom of religion appears in the First Amendment to the constitution as well. So we can be buddist, atheist, or christian...

The only thing we might've forgotten, is out heritage.

2. Lack of electing responsible officials to elected office. The media (advent of television) helped with this one.

Mark: I guess it really is an American thing but I shudder when I see someone wearing dark socks with sneekers.

Johnboy: Do you also have a display of pussywillows? Big grin

The two things I think are the worst about Americans are:

Lawsuits
Bandwagons

Everyone seems to get on one trip and force it into mainstream American society. Take the whole Atkins thing. Before, everyone was low-fat but now, thanks to the bandwagoning of America, everyone is low-carb.

And, I'm sorry but coffee being hot or getting fat and having poor health from eating only big macs does not entitle you to $4million dollars. It's called thinning out the herd/survival of the fittest.

Honorable mention goes to sports team names. Wouldn't want to offend. Billikins, Forest Dragons, Volcanoes, Mighty Ducks..... and the list goes on...

GO CANUCKS!!

Television makes us stupid. It's a proven fact that the dumbest people tend to watch the most television. I can't imagine averaging 5 hours of TV a day. What a waste.

Sugar makes us fat. Since Americans are among the fattest and unhealthiest (for a modern Western nation) people in the world...well...'nuff said.

Geez, it was a tongue in cheek post, not need to be so serious, y'all (or bigoted, Bruno and BN747).
