Hello everybody,

3 mates and I will be going to Sydney to stay at their dad's apartment for a week or so from june 24 - july 1. Now I'm really desperate to hear what there is to do in Sydney without things working out to be overly expensive.
Last time I went, I went to all those touristy sort of places i.e. centrepoint tower, taronga zoo, wonderland, Sydney Aquarium, but this time I truly want to have a vacation.

This doesn't mean I don't want to spend money, I just don't want it working out overly-expensive for a student haha. We've already planned an AFL game, opera at the opera house (how could you not?) and shopping, but otherwise we have practically no idea.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Catch a ferry to Manly (especially on a Sunday) and soak up the atmosphere. A real beach town like Bondi without millions of people.

Or you can take one of the tours of Sydney airport - I thoroughly recommend them!

How about a walk on top of the Bridge near the Opera-house?

Definitely the bridge climb!
I think you have to order tickets online.

Definitely take the YSSY ramp tour mentioned above - it's absolutely fabulous - and a bridge-climb if your budget isn't too tight...
