Hey guys and gals, everything happens around the visitors centre, there will be lots of stalls, a grandstand overlooking runway with commentary, British Airways will be operating tours around the airport, including T5 site, hopefully BA will have some airside vehicles for the public to look at, also there should be companys within the airport recruiting too.

Does anyone have any more information on this? I really want to come along on Sunday. Is it all basically around the visitors centre? How many people can fit in the grandstand because I obviously want to be in the grandstand!!
How much do we have to pay etc? Never heard of the LHR Open Day before

mike, the grandstand is free and last year it was huge and was great fun, BA lay on buses to give guided tours of airport and T5 site, trying to get airside tours this year i think. also a couple of tugs, catering lorrys, mobile stairs will hopefully be bought over from TBE to visitors centre for people to look at. Lots of stalls also. BA simulator should be there this year, chance to fly a 737-400!
