News item:

(Riyadh, Saudi Arabia-AP) -- A statement purportedly from al-Qaida claims the terror group killed one American and kidnapped another in Saudi Arabia today. It says the captive will be treated as U-S troops treated Iraqi prisoners. The attacks are the latest in a campaign of anti-Western violence.

Question: Do you suppose Osama & Co. will hold hearings and discipline those found guilty of treating U-S troops as some Iraqi prisoners were mistreated?

The thing I hate about Al Qaeda is they stick to their word about things. A videotape has already been posted onto the Internet showing the American being shot to death in the Saudi capital.

It's not going to happen.

It's interesting how these terrorists have such selective memories.

they're terrorists, by definition they're liers and bullies that don't adhere to any law or code of honour.

Most likely they're going to torture the Americans and ship small but identifiable body parts to their family and the press as a show of how tough they (the terrorists) are.
That's what the RAF did in the past and others as well.

Can we make stop with the war on terror and war in Iraq, too.

Al-Queda is an outlaw independant organisation who don't consider themselves under obligation of international laws or agreements. Much like the CIA...

Scotty, We must finish what we have started. The war on terror was a necessary war and we must work with our allies to defeat global terrorism. Regarding Iraq, whether you supported it or not we need to finish the job and get the power back into the Iraqi's hands.

Question: Do you really think that a terrorist organization holds itself to the same standards as a democratically elected free nation? Also, what is the purpose of your question? As we all know, Al Qaeda will do no such thing. Thus, should the United States also become a rogue nation because Al Qaeda - a non-nation/terrorist organization - behaves in a despicable fashion?

That is precisely the purpose of my question, to ensure that the distinction is clearly made. It cannot be made often enough.

Implying that my question suggests that the United States also become a rogue nation because Al Qaeda behaves in such a fashion far exceeds my intent. I believe no such thing, and agree as we all do that the United States must hold itself to a higher standard.
