NYC Meeting- No More

After talking to KROC, it has been made clear that no one seems to really want to take charge and organize the trip. So therefore many people have bailed. I'm pretty upset, simply because I bought my damn plane ticket specifically for the meeting. I live 1,500 miles away, so this is hardly a day trip for me. So JCS17, Boeing747-700 and I will still be going to NYC, I know USairways757 is going to still go most likely also. I'm not going to place blame on anyone, because that is childish. But I am pissed off at a few people on here.

I'm organizing what we are doing for us 3 or 4. I'm gonna make sure we have a damn good time, with or without the sell outs. If you are still in on this, let me know either on here or via email, with your hotel info, and what dates you are going to be there. To all others who punked out: Your loss.

I'd rather sit on my ass under my bed, than hangout with you people at the MAN meeting.

From what I read about the NYC meeting earlier in here I must admit that I rather would go to an american meeting and watch some baseball and striptease. That sounds just like a dream meeting. hehe
But The European could be very fun to go to as well. Just a shame that they don't include baseball and striptease in their programme  Big grin

Dude, do not be pissed at those of us that "sold out". The meeting is less than 2 weeks away, and there were no plans or anything made at all. Me and USairwys757 were planning on riding down with LHMark and all, and when he had to cancel, as well as only like 3 other people confirming they were going to make it, I decided to pack it in as has Usairwys757. I have two jobs to plan around, and with nothing even decided upon, I can only do so much. Off time is at a premium, especially in the summer. And AA61hvy, you were already saying how you were going to be in NYC or Jersey anyway, which is why you wanted the meet to happen on the 11th. So don't try and lay the guilt trip down about buying your ticket just for the meet. Rag on your boys that you were going to stay with who japped on you as well.

Mike, careful holmes, I was going to stay with my cousins, but my Uncle has cancer, and it's not looking good for him in the next 3 weeks, so I don't think I'm going to burden them with me while my uncle is dying.

I called you Mike almost daily about the damn trip, every single time you said Mark was going to do it. I did my part on trying to get this whole thing. Like I said I'm not placing blame. But I did my part.

Oh no, after all the jingoism, name-calling, and banner-waving ... the meet is unceremoniously dumped. Well what a disappointment. Singapore_Air was looking forward to hanging out with you guys.

Moving swiftly along, it's less than 2 weeks to MAN. If you all have a look on expedia.com and let me know when you will be arriving, I'll add you to the list at: http://www.MegaMANMeet.co.uk

See you there!

As upset as you are people aren't coming, and as worrying at the sentence 'So JCS17, Boeing747-700 and I will still be going to NYC' is, at least you weren't sad enough to ACTUALLY registed http://www.megamanmeet.co.uk

Then again, this pushes it: 'I called you Mike almost daily about the damn trip'.  Smile

I hear ya AA, and okay, the Uncle thing is very understandable. But don't crap on Mark either. He was handling the hotel stuff, but shit happens. And for all the talk we did about NYC, there were no actual plans ever made.

I'm sorry about not going. At crunch time, though, I wound up with a few extra expenses that just make it impossible for me to go.

Believe me, I wish I was. I was looking forward to the trip and the game.

I'll be in NYC from July 9th to the 13th, Jordan will be there from the 9th to the 11th, JCS will be there from the 10th to 13th. I may try to sneak a trip to Jersey to see my grandfather at the assisted living place.

This sort of pisses me off. Like AA61hvy said, for us, this isn't a 'hop in the car and drive a few hours' sort of trip. I could've spent my entire week off in Cape Cod, but decided to go to the city for half my trip because all of you made it sound like the meeting was gonna happen. There were no ifs ands or buts a few weeks ago. If you're going to say its gonna come off, make sure it comes off, especially for the people who do devote a lot of money to go there. I mean, if I knew this was going to happen, I would've gone to the Cape for the week. If LHMark didn't think he was going to have the jack for the trip, he shouldn't have waited until two weeks before the trip to tell us. And KROC, if you can't go a few days without a Genny Lite and spooning with LHMark, thats pretty weak too. You should at least man up and try to make an effort to come down. I feel bad for Ryan because he doesn't really have a place to stay. I can stay with my cousin in the city either way, but to throw him to the curb is messed-up. Oh well, I'll be in the city and I'll have a good time there like I always do. Its just that if I knew this was going to happen I would've preffered to spend time with my family.

Yo, JCS, some shit came up that needed to be paid for. That simple. I highly doubt my presence is the make-or-break for a 20+ person meet.

Jcs - Stop crying. Nobody left anyone high and dry. Ryan was staying in Jersey last I knew, and going too crash in the city the ONE, thats ONE night we were going to be there. Right about the time Ryan's place to stay fell apart, so did the NYC trip. Sorry chief. Not all of us are on summer vacation. Besides, I figured I'd have the chance to keep pounding Genny Lights, because who would have guessed you could pull yourself away from giving your paid friends ERRRRR frat brothers oral long enough to get away anyway.

LHMark - 20 person meet? Yeah, if you count those that are going to show up about 6 times each. Thats why the Sandy Clit contingent is all up in arms.
