I am a very keen cyclist my self and am in fact going to watch the Tour de France live in July. Going to watch the Alph d' Huez time trial and a stage start and stage finish.

I was wondering what ever one else thinks, weather they think LA has it in him to win 6 tours?

I think he does in fact I think he will be better than last year. I have no idea why I think this it is just a feeling. I tape all the tour then watch it while spinning in the winter. Better than looking at a wall.

Sometimes all you can do is look them in the eye and ask " how much did your mom drink when she was pregnant with you?"

At least he´s the top favorite, no doubt about that.
Ullrich appears to be in a good shape (won the Tour de Suisse) but I don´t think he´s better than last year.
Mayo has had a great year so far but he will lose time in the team time trial and on the second last stage (flat terrain time trial).
It´s gonna be interesting.

Armstrong, Ullrich, Hamilton and Mayo will all be top contenders but its really going to come down to who has the best team.

Last year Ullrich rode with the Postal group far more than his own Bianchi team and this years T-Mobil team I don't think has worked that well together up to this point. Hamilton and Mayo will also be riding with new teams that haven't looked that impressive up to this point.

Although they are winning races, the shorter stage races they are winning are nothing compared to the 3 week tour which will require a well balanced and strong team, Postal could suffer without Roberto Herras but I think they still look very strong.

I think this will be the closest victory yet for Lance. And I think Ullrich will finish third to Armstrong and Hamilton.

...something to be said for finishing while you're ahead.

I find it hard to imagine that it will be even closer than last year.

I have a feeling that it'll either be a blow-out victory for Lance or that somebody else will win.

Yes, I believe has an excellent chance to win.
And the French will (again) cry in their glass of Chardonnay and claim that he is taking enhancement drugs.

I forgot mentioning Tyler Hamilton who has impressed me very much last year when he performed fabulously with a broken collarbone.
However, although I think he is a great cyclist (and a nice guy, not one of those who think they are god after winning a middle class race in the off-season), I cannot imagine him becoming the winner of the Tour de France. Armstrong and Ullrich are too strong. It will be a tough race.
