Hi all, don't know really where to post this thread but I would like to know where is the best place to buy cigarettes at duty free shops ? I bought some cartons of "white and red" cigarettes for €18 each in Tunisia but was just wondering if prices were significantly differents around the world...
Thanks.

Czech Airlines Duty Free both inflight and at the airport used to offer 200 Marlboros for some 12 Euros. Since the beginning of May the prices are same as anywhere else in the Czech Republic, which in case of red Marlboros is 53,- CZK per pack of 20, which is some 1.6 Euros.
However, no alcohol or cigarettes are sold on CSA's intra-EU flights due to another stupid EU regulation, I suppose, but one can buy duty-free both on departure as well as upon arrival.

Egypt was the cheapest place I have ever bought fags.
If I remember right, paid about £4GBP for 200 - admittedly there were called "Pharaoah" or something and were totally vile. Only got them to prove a point that they were so cheap.
Other than that, it has been a tie between Pula Airport and Antigua - both very cheap. About £10 for 200. Having said tha, BY were doing a similar offer on non-EU flights last summer.

Probably one of the best places for duty free anything is Panama City's Tocumen International Airport (PTY), which has a very large selection of products, from booze to tobacco to electronics.
