Hello all,
I'll be moving to Boston here in a few weeks to start school and was wondering which cellular phone service is best in the area? Verizon, Cinglular, T Mobile, Nextel, etc. Thanks!!

Pretty much anywhere that used to be Bell Atlantic, GTE, or Airtouch service areas, which Boston was, still are served best by Verizon Wireless.

I used to travel to Boston extremely often, and never had Verizon give up on me. I also don't have any business associates in Boston that don't use Verizon.

I'm from Boston and have Verizon. It seems to work everywhere. I had AT&T before and that was another story, theres nothing like walking 100ft away from my house or most buildings to make a call Acting devilish

EDIT: Which college are you attending?

I personally use Nextel, and have had no issues with it in the greater Boston and Southern NH area.

I use Verizon at work on a Blackberry - and I personally don't care for their coverage. At all.

I've used Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile in Boston, but now I use Verizon.

I think Verizon has the best coverage.

I live in in the suburbs of Boston, and have never had a problem with Verizon anywhere.

I work for a very large financial services company based in Boston. Per our telecom website:

Percentage of zip codes covered within 50 miles of Boston:

AT&T - 78.5%
T-Mobile - 82%
Sprint - 85.7%
Cingular - 96.5%
Nextel - 98.8%
Verizon - 99%
