Hey a.netters

I just thought, since I just went to sleep at 12:15 AM and woke up 15 mins later, from a half-way-sleep-state where I knew I was "falling" into a sleep, it would be interesting to hear about everyone's dreams! (I felt amazingly strange in this weird mid-sleep stage, happened last night too!). So, anyway last night, I drifted into that mid-sleep stage and my room turned into just a huge room with nothing in it, in the dream. And, I knew I was falling asleep, in reality. So I decided to put my arms out and fly towards a window, and I went towards it, really FEELING like my body was moving forward to it, but actually I just felt my body shake in bed (reality). So then, after progressing a while, I kind of stopped and my body turned upside down...and in reality, I could feel my head move back and looks towards the ceiling, then completely look almost to the back wall of my room where the headboard is. then, I could feel myself in my dream floating into a completely black space, which scared the he11 out of me (I usually get this before I enter a nightmare / not so fun dream), so I decided to roll around and hit my head (in my dream) to wake up, and what do u know, I did - I was completely in reality again and saw my whole room, my eyes still kind of moving around then coming back to normal. quite strange, i wonder if i woke up because I knew I was in a dream? Usually I cannot control when I fall asleep...very weird...anyway, I kinda forgot my other dreams thruout the night, so I'm not really contributing myself to this thread  Sad, but how bout u guys! what were ur dreams, and have u ever had this inter-sleep-awake stage, where u can like control what u do in ur dream while knowing that u are in the dream? (like, fly or do a flip in the air)??

Last night - I dreamt that I was in some real weird place with my wife - but we were getting shot at by a guy with a gun. It was kind of like a big park but in the middle of the night/underground???????

Anyway, I kept getting hit by this guy with his machine gun right through my chest but still felt okay. I fired a gun at him and kept missing, and he ended up on a boat on some sort of lake and I swam to the side of the boat, crept just above the side of the boat and shot him. I think I missed, and then I swam away and ran for my life - I then woke up to Lou Reed's "Satellite" song on radio 1 at 6.30!

Crazy!

Seems you have the ability of lucid dreaming. This is when you know it's just a dream and therefore take control over it. Must be pretty cool, there're even workshops to learn it.
As for me, don't remember about last night, nothing special for sure.

Sorry, can't remember anything ...

Happeny quite often to me that I don't know what I was dreaming (if I did).

Don't know if or what I dreamt. But I do remember one of those "float/fly" dreams I had some time ago, it felt good. Note to self: If you really get to be a neurologist, have a look at people's dreams.

I had a very herbal dream last night ! I was in Italy with my sister and her little girl (who is 5) and we were putting her on a train, alone, to somewhere else (can't think why) - she didn't mind though, she was looking forward to it. Then I had to go find something, my wallet I think, but I was going to miss the train (!) so I was running around trying to find the right platform...

I often dream about running late for planes and trains - its a major neurotic issue for me, missing a plane (I never have). I think one day I should miss one on purpose, just to prove to myself that it isn't actually the end of the world.

Wasn't feeling all that well yesterday, so I went to bed very early....I had a dream that the Detroit Tigers beat the Cleveland Indians 13-4.....woke up this morning, turned on the radio....and they won, 13-4....how could that be??  Smile

Guess I better start dreaming about winning the lottery.

I totaly understand N6376m, I had your dream too. Oddly enough it happens every night. What is also strange is I look towards Kath and she cant hear him cry so I start to wonder if I am losing it, she is fast asleep snoring.

People know at work when I have these nightmares as they always ask me in the morning if I got enough sleep?

Steve.

I can't recall what I dreamt about last night, but a couple of nights ago I dreamt about being at work.

Everyone was walking in to see me saying how they wish me luck with what I do in the future. Then the MD come in and said congratulations on the new job... He said he was happy for me??

This didn't make sense. But I have had thoughts about finding a new job in the past few months, and everyone (All the girls - for kisses! Big grin) came into see my when I celebrated my birthday last week.  Smile

Maybe the two connected somehow?

Also I can say that I have been in the situation of knowing that I am dreaming and taking control of the situation. That "falling" sensation in early sleep is just the worst. I woke up with my heart pounding after that once!

Anyway guys, keep the stories coming! Makes a good read after a shit day in the office!  Laugh out loud

Many thanks,

Justin  Big thumbs up

Holy sh!t!!! Bizzarre......................

First I'm with a bunch of people trying to eat this 8 or 9 foot long King Crab leg ( it was already boiled! ) and we're all using ball-peen hammers and chisels to penetrate the shell. I remember saying to everyone in the dream that we'll need wheelbarrows to take the crabmeat away.

Next thing I'm diassembling a Messerschmitt Bf-109F ( was definately an "F" model! ) for salvage. I'm having trouble removing some components without damaging them, and I note with dismay the two cowl mounted MG-17 machine guns are already removed and was curious to just how they mounted up. I remember eagerly climbing down to see how the engine-mounted 20mm cannon was installed and explaining to someone who was helping me it's configuration when someone interrupted us to say something...I remeber being a little peeved being interrupted....then I woke up.

Like I said, bizzarre. I've always been a WW2 A/C buff and I WAS flying a WW2 combat flight sim before turning in, so I can see where I got THAT from....but geez............

Edited for spelling

I tend to find that if I spent a considerable amount of time playing computer games before bed that the game continues on in my mind.

Nothing really sucks more than spending half the night playing games of Starcraft in your mind.

When I was still in school I worked part-time at Bed Bath and Beyond. I used to spend a fair amount of time when I closed folding towels. I would have these dreams where I am in a big ever growing pile of towels that needed to be folded. That really sucked.

I had a horrifying dream that the battery for my new Canon leaked acid all over the insides and destroyed it..

..Then I had a rather funny dream about my grandfather (been dead for 4 years) and how he used to run into things while driving his electric cart..

Here goes..

Last night I dreamt that this girl was really liking me and coming on to me. Only problem was that she was, how can I put this well.. not that attractive (and also maybe a bit too large for my taste).. and I was kinda scared and was trying to shy away.

Also a few weeks ago was dreaming that girls were cheating on me. It was kinda like in real life and it sucked and I woke up kinda pissed off going "man, what a b****!!.."

Yes have previously been in therapy but maybe I should start thinking about some more!!..
