End of the week question....
tv these days is full of soaps and police/fbi/legal/medical dramas (if it's not about renovating houses/gardens or (in the uk) moving to live in another country).
There are lots of other jobs out there. No dramas about being a photographer are there?
So if your occupation was the subject of a tv series what would it be called? Would they make one?? I work in an aerodynamics research lab, but unfortunately, "gone with the wind" is already taken.

It was an episode of Discovery wings called "Med-Air".
Unfortunatly we didn't have a trip come up where I was at work but a lot of my opposite numbers are in the show.
OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.

How about flying cargo overseas for hour upon hours of boredom at a time, with moments of sheer terror while being shot at over Iraq, or an IFE after "go". While eating crappy box lunches of PB & J, while having crew duties for 24 hrs at a time for weeks straight, then getting min ground time and doing it all over again. We could call it "Strat Airlifters".

We joke about making an "Airline" show with us!! Although our show would hav to be aired on Cinemax...LOL. The dialogue would go something like this..."bleep...bleep...bleep...bleep."

Well no one has made a TV series about my old job, but they did make a really, really bad movie about it, “Con-Air”.
Remember that different is different, not better or worse, just different.

If they made a series about my old job, it'd be cut after the pilot series.
If they made a series about my school job, it would be like NewsRadio
If they made a job about my soon to be job, it would be like..Well I don't know, good looking Milfs bitching about their husbands while working out (Personal Trainer)

If there were a TV show about my job, I think it would be called "Trailer Park Boys". Oh wait, that show already exists...

I really don't hope that they will make a TV-serie about my job.
I'm sure my mom would hate to se me get picked up every night on the street corner by some horny man.

Im thinking about joining you guys. Anyway, you will be at the hospital getting your stomach pumped when I am starting to getting tipsy.
Yes, I will commence my next drinking session in about 30 minutes. Last time was Wednesday.
Um, that's really nothing to brag about, you're in the 16-20 yr range (according to your bio) and you claim to have such a high alcohol tolerance, like a professional drinker who takes years if not decades to become that way, when did you start drinking heavily at age 5. Don't get me wrong I like to partake of a few myself, now and then. But I don't think being a heavy drinker/alcoholic is something to be proud of.

Hell, a TV show about my job wouldn't even get past the network pitch stage.

While I like my job, having been at it for almost 11 years, it definitely would not make a good subject for a TV show. I'm an editor for a financial publisher, dealing with state and local taxation. It's an interesting field if you're connected with it, and some major developments are in progress - states are struggling to adapt their sales tax systems to modern e-commerce - but it lacks "mass appeal."
"Let me think about it" = the coward's way of saying "no"
25 Newyork355: I guess the show "Restaurant" was as close as I'll get to a show about my job. The next step would be a show called "Being a server in an overrated, n
26 AvObserver: It would be called "Night of the Living Dead" because that's how I feel about the weird 3rd shift hours. "Graveyard Shift" would also be appropriate,

28 Soku39: Where there was a movie, it was called "the car wash". My car wash however is much more interesting.
