OK. Nancy, Myself, and a couple of friends are heading over to these two wonderful cities for a 10-day vacation. We'll be arriving on the 24th, spending three days in AMS, four days in Berlin, then two more days in AMS. We'd love to hang with some Euros who appreciate beer and fun.
Andreas has already threatened to show us a Kneipe or two, and I'll see to it that he's richly rewarded with Berliner Weisse. any other takers?

Hehe... Don't worry about it man.. I won't touch that stuff
I stick to the good German beer that weekend. I just have to check how much Easyjet will take for their tickets. But I think you can count me in.

Maybe you can make it two Germans but it's more likely that I'll leave Berlin on the 21st or 24th (depending on my current projects and clients) to spend a week or so with friends and off from work.
If the weather's still fine (the asphalt's close to coming to the boil these days), I suggest to visit the "Strandbar" behind Bode Museum (Museums Island), an open-air Kneipe with sunbeds and view over river Spree. Don't even think of asking for a glass for your beer (Berliner Pilsener among others) there.
Not far from Strandbar - Oranienburger Str., left hand side of the New Synagogue - is Café Orange. Their baked chicken breast with Mozarella, Parma ham and sage (EUR 8) goes nicely with a Jever Pilsener.
If you're already drunk: do NOT provoke the police men securing the Synagogue like my sister in law did last year. You will only have your bad breath while they have MP5s.
And don't forget to visit Prenzlauer Berg with the nice Kollwitz Platz, Kulturbrauerei and Kastanienallee. The fact alone that I live there should be reason enough. No need to light a candle, though ...

Hey German boys, can any of you pop me an email if you are giong to join?
I't would be great if we could arrange where we can meet. And so we can switch phone number incase I fuck up and gets lost in Berlin.
If I don't meet Mark and you guys I probably will end up drinking alone in Berling. And that is not funny.

Have a GREAT time for me, guys and gals! Ich liebe Berlin...I was just there, 11th July to 14th July...not nearly long enough, though my 2nd visit overall. I'll definitely be back, though sadly it won't be when you're out there.
Drink MANY for me! Franziskaner Weizen, if you can find it!

Well, I'll definitely leave Berlin on Tuesday for a well deserved break from work, and since I have to be back in early September, it's my last chance. I'm really sorry guys, and I know I'm going to miss a great chance ...
Just a hint: A good meeting point is the slice of the Berlin Wall in front of the Sony Center/Deutsche Bahn headquarter at Potsdamer Platz (S-Bahn + Subway "Potsdamer Platz"). Sony Center is the building almost entirely made of glass and steel.

QI, if I were in Berlin I'd meet you guys under any circumstances...I'll be either in Frankfurt or in London, as usual, my workplaces..though I don't exactly find the idea of being in London funny right now...those lying, medal-stealing cheating sumbitches!!!

AAAAAHHHHH...to be missed, what a great feeling!!
But seriously..there are much better and tastier ways to get cardiac arrest
And don't forget: Caffe e gelato...Potsdamer Platz, second floor of the Passagen...best icecream in town, and that's NOT a joke!!
And don't forget either: When morning is close, around 3 or 4 a.m., the black cafe "Schwarze Cafe" in Kantstrasse (Charlottenburg), early breakfast, some beer or coffee...great place, great audience...much fun!

All this talk of drinking beer in Berlin is driving me crazy! I think I would do anything at this point to be there. Hell, I'm ready to quit my job anyway!
Plus, I know exactly where that slice of the wall is at Postdamer Platz, I was there about a month ago...cool place.
BTW, there's a place called "Hefner" at the corner of Kantstrasse and Savignyplatz that's cool...they serve my favorite beer there...Franziskaner Weisse.
