Looks like Pat Robertson knows how to choose his friends rather well. Charles Taylor, the former president of Liberia made notable for his creation of the RUF that terrorized Sierra Leone and his indictment for war crimes has now been connected with harboring al Qaeda operatives both before and after 9/11 in Liberia as well as funnelling profits from his blood diamond sales to al Qaeda. Well gee, Pat...looks like you were so busy hurling invective at those that "helped cause 9/11" that you forgot to point your finger at yourself. Your investment in Liberian diamond mines probably found its way into Osama's hands. Nice going!

Ok garnettpalmetto congrats on your ability to read some talking poiint issued by some left leaning website or news source. I am no Pat Robertson fan (iin addition to having problems w/ televangelists he misled about his marine service during his campaign) but if we are going to start blaming people for their investments that we cannot prove were made with ill will, then we are going to have to blame everyone for using oil..it supports Iranian, Nigerian, Venezuelan and other dictatorial (or working their way to being) regimes that cruelly and violently suppress the opposition and either sponsor or allow terrorists to fester in their midsts. Everyone knew that Charles Taylor was a bad man when he put the previous regime up against the wall and had them shot. I am certain that Pat Robertson had no idea that his money would end up there, if it actually did. Most of this type of info comes from partisan web sites and is often taken out of context. You can make an investment in anything sound bad when it is desired to do so.

Slow down the horse.
Charles Gankay Taylor did not create the RUF.
The "blood diamond" trade has its origin in Sierra Leone, not Liberia, where it only transited.
There is relatively little diamond in Liberia, and a lot less diamond mining.
Indictment is not judgement.
"Has been connected to harboring etc..." since you know zilch about this, since the true occupation of these individuals and the true reason of their visits is not fully determined, and since a possible connection with AQ is until now only regarded as a possibility, I suggest you do not pursue this rhetoric.
