Typical greedy gooner proberly wanted £150k aweek and didnt get it that is why he didnt join the Real team.
He wanted £4.5m after tax per year,how greedy can you get.
Arsenal mugs are willing to over pay an over rated over the hill player thats another reason Real got Owen,younger and can score goals and his former club are not as greedy as Arsenal.

Owen might be younger, but he is no way better than Raul or Ronaldo and at most on par with Morientes. So I can see him spending lots of time on the bench and maybe getting a trot for the Copa Del Rey games. He is sillier than I ever gave him credit for. He should have stayed at Pool or at least gone to a club that would play him more regularly.
And Real, with all their defensive problems from last season, what do they do to try and rectify it? They go and buy another striker? Admittedly they have got Samuel this time, but they still lack a quality Defensive Mid and this is where Viera would have been prefect. I could be wrong though, maybe they will go for Xabi Alonso now.

The players love wenger, hey owen was ur best player at liverpool and wont get game time there, and if say henry did he would. Real were desperate for a solid midfielder who can rally the troops and defend adn scoer the od goal, they really needed some one like him.
P.S. Arsenal players arnt as well payed as other players from otehr major clubs.
