The Dodgers trading of Guillermo Mota and Paul LoDuca is coming back to bite them in the behind:
Since handing the bullpen setup role to Darren Dreifort, he has proceeded to give victory to the opponent no less than 3 times in recent days: the first being the day after the trade when the Padres staged a late rally, the second last week when the Reds came back, and the most recent, last night at Chavez Ravine when the "Gas Can" handed victory to the Marlins with two runs, two hits, three walks, and a wild pitch in two/thirds of an inning.
Also, Brad Penny is on the 15-day disabled list.
The allegedly "highly touted" rookie GM of the Dodgers, Paul DePodesta, is rapidly making recent GM's Fred Claire and Kevin Malone look like genius's.
Lo Duca received a lengthy standing ovation from a sellout crowd of 53,121 as he stepped to the plate in the first inning. He acknowledged the cheers, taking off his helmet and thrusting it skyward. When he attempted to dig in to face Weaver, the fans bellowed louder, and he backed out of the batter's box.
also... Whereas Lo Duca, Encarnacion and Guillermo Mota were warmly received by Dodgers fans, Dreifort left the field to a chorus of boos.

Hadn't gotten wind of that yet, KROC. (Haven't seen the paper today, and Rome is still 10 minutes away).
