Here's something to talk about other than politics and terrorism..

Are there one or more albums in your music albums where you look back and think "What the hell was I thinking when I bought that?!"

I'll start with myself:

The Macarena Mix  Laugh out loud

Yeah, Metallica 'Load'. Another monument to my doofus-ness of buying an album "on faith" of an artist without hearing it first. Could not get into it no how, no way. Would not "grow on" me so it just languished. Because it was a cassette, it DID serve well as an ad-hoc windshield ice scraper.

Went and did the same damn thing and bought 'Reload' based on a recommendation from someone saying it was a good album; Tuned out this cat actually liked 'Load' and in fact never heard any earlier stuff.

Wasn't on the internet yet...it really helps now.

I have bought some movie soundtracks, and I shake my head whenever I look at them....check out these gems...

Beverly Hills Cop
Top Gun
Dirty Dancing
An Officer and A Gentleman
Pretty Woman
Footloose (that one is not really that bad)
La Bamba
Cocktail (again, not bad)

I actually donated these CD's to a friend who was having a garage sale recently...told her to sell them for 3 bucks apiece...guess what...nobody wanted them....I still own them. Must have been drunk when I bought them.

When I moved cross country I got rid of my more shameful CDs... right now I don't think I have any CDs that I am embarrassed to own.

However I did once own Paula Abdul "Spellbound" and the "Beavis and Butthead Experience". I like to think my taste has gotten better since I was 12.

Be careful! Knowing Metallica...they'd probably hire a hitman to kill you for file sharing.

Hummmm, people buy CDs still? I have this great thing called Kazaa and WinMX. But the worst CD I have ever spent money one was, Jewl, I had a bit of a crush on her back when I was a teenager. Now I look at her and I think she is kinda nasty.

But how about, Kylie and Jason - Especialy for you! AAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!

and its really cheesy video that goes with it.

Cheers,

Steve. p.s I may play it later with a few beers in my slide room with the volume turned right down in case next door hears it.
