When you go to college and plug your comp in, my friend told me that everyone can see and borrow all your files, music etc is this true? Like a kazza but only for the students in that school.

Yes and no.

You can set up your computer to share files over the resnet. And many people do that. When I was living in the dorms this was a prime way to get Mp3s... this was just before Napster got big.

But in order to do this you need to set up your computer with a name and workgroup as well as file sharing.
