Well, he's been on record as stating that quite a few times.

Do I think he'd try... sure, why not?

Do I think he'd succeed? No.

Well if Will Smith was President they would have to change "Hail to the Chief" to "Getting Jiggy With It."

Crazier things have happened.

There was a democratic candidate named Al Smith running for president against Hoover in 1928. One of his aims was to remove the 17th ammendment from the constitution (alcohol ban).

His main problem was that he was a Roman-Catholic of Irish descent. At this time there were still signs around like "No admission to dogs and Irish" and apparently Hoover played the religion WASP card during this election. His main voters were urban working class people.

Why not, Will Smith seems a pretty clever guy with charisma, if Ronald Reagan could become president and Arnie gouvernor, why not Will Smith? I think you need to be a pretty good actor to become a president. Clinton was a great actor and Bush Sr. and Gore failed because they were not.

nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

JohnSpartan : But how? He was President?
LeninaHuxley : Yes! Even though he wasn't born in this country, his popularity at the time caused the 61st Amendment which states...
JohnSpartan : I don' wanna know. President.

Hey why not? I am sure he'd be a lot better than actor Ray-gun.

Actors I'd like to see as President would be David Letterman, Bill Mayher or Warren Beatty.
Jane Fonda would be cool to have as President too!  Smokin cool

and the wrestler who became the governor of Texas.

It was a cocaine sniffer that became governor of Texas and then President (W).
The wrestler you're thinking of (Jessie "the Body" Ventura) became governor of Minnesota.
