Family:
Rusty (I'm named after my father, so instead of Junior, they've always called me Rusty, from my middle name Russell.)

Work:
Brownie (Pretty much been called this one ever since I started working at my current job, as I was one of two guys with a similar first name. Even my mailbox at work has the nickname on it.)

Friends:
Picnic (This one was a work one that eventually transferred into a friends one when I changed jobs. I picked up this nickname about 5 years ago while out one night with some coworkers @ AirTran. I was wearing a red, white, and yellow checked Ben Sherman shirt, and one of the guys started making jokes about the shirt [Stuff like where's the fried chicken and potato salad?]. The next day @ work was when several of the guys started calling me Picnic. After a few days I resigned myself to the fact that I was stuck with the nickname. In my circle of friends from work, three of us shared the same name [two Steves and one Steven {me}], and one we called by his fist name, the other by his last name, and me, Picnic. To this day, whenever I see one of my old group, I still get called Picnic. The whole Picnic thing became a sort of a legend around the AirTran ramp and gates @ ATL for a time. People knew who Picnic was, but if you said Steven Brown, they'd ask who? You know, Picnic. Oh Yeah....

I don't know why I have those negative names!

Moe.

The guys at work got tired of always watching what they were saying around me (only female) so they made me a honorary boy.

Moe was also short for motor mouth. That is where the boy name came from.
