I've seen a few of the episodes, but all the good guys are done. I wanted Helmuth to win, just because he's such an asshole, but he was out on the first day. All these internet idiots who call all in with a T6 off suit and hit a full house on the river because they get a hard on about taking out one of the pros are ruining the tournament.

Dude I hate Helmuth!
The only time I can stand to see his mouth start yapping is when Farha is around. Great entertainment!
But he's got that Ipod now... yet he still runs his mouth.

Exactly why I didn't want him to win...

I wish ESPN would show more of the game. Seems like a lot of commercials. But it is interesting to watch. Travel Channel and Bravo (IIRC) also have poker shows.

What with all the good players out and the carbon blobs that remain, it's not even worth watching... They really need to cut down on the internet qualifier bullshit and get back to the real game.

Of course, this event isn't live... it was played in May.
If you'd like to ruin it for yourself or one of your annoying buddies rooting for his favorite player, Cardplayer.com and a multitude of other sites online can give you the information to accomplish exactly that.

NWA Man, iI thought about taking a peek to see who won the event but held back at the last minute. I'd much rather watch as it "goes on". Tempting to take a look however.

Very tempting... so tempting, in fact, that I went to the website and checked the stats after the first day of the tourney... my original plan was to watch the entire thing through, but a few friends of mine called me to talk about the big names that were knocked out at the beginning about an hour after it happened.
I'll probably sit back with the family and watch it over the holidays, that is, assuming they run all of the episodes back to back like they did last Thanksgiving and Christmas. Still interesting to see how it happens, even though I found out who won back in May...
Half on, half off-topic: anybody from here ever play in the WSOP, or think about playing? I might go next year just to play a supersatellite in person, scam a free T-shirt, and head home, just to say I sat in (a preliminary event at) The World Series of Poker...

Damn Fossilman won! Was hoping it would be one of the past tourney winners (Harrington!). Or even Luske. What's up with all these young guns like Williams and arrogant Arieh tearing up the tables with their super aggressive play? I guess better Fossilman than any of those jerks. Anyway, quite entertaining to watch and learned a great deal as well.
NWA Man, my doctor actually entered last year. He was telling me about it a while back. Don't remember much of what he said now but I do remember him saying that the buy-in is not that much. He got knocked out pretty fast. Go to http://www.worldseriesofpoker.com. There should be more info there.
