In all of us a.net members someone must have riden on Air Force One. Maybe as a member of the Press, maintenance technician, politician, presidential advisor, or something. If so how was it? How did it differ from a regular airliner 747? Which President was on it?

ummmmmmmm, no!

Practically no one here has ever been on AF1.

You might wanna try askin' Bill Clinton and/or G Dubya.

I've been on Air Force One, but we didn't do it...

BTW, shouldn't it be in instead of on Air Force One?  Big grin

I was on the 707 that carried Kennedy to Dallas and back to Washington dead. That was at Wright-Patterson AFB.

I believe my aunt has flown on AF1 a few times.

I've only been on the ex-AF1 707. And I didn't fly on it.

I love America. I guess that makes me Bush's poodle, but I'd rather be a dog in New York City than a prince in Riyadh.

I was on SAM970 (Nixon's round-the-world trip AF1). It is parked at Seattle's Museum of Flight. Kinda cool.
Also interesting is how the President ran everything from a small VC-137... its quite a cramped presidential aircraft.

I've been on the one that's at the Pima Air Musuem in Tucson, Arizona. The one that came right before the 707.

I've been on the same one that Mls has been on...the VC-54 in Pima...Kennedy used it for a short time before the VC-137...
