On another topic I mentioned that I would like to see Canada moving away from its dependancy on the US market and perhaps look into other markets such as the EU for the majority of our trading.

My opinion stems from the way the US handles our rather one-sided NAFTA relationship and how our beef industry is being boycotted primarily for political purposes.

Bush, it appears is trying to punish us for not jumping on his world domination bandwagon.

Canada's Federal Agriculture Minister Andy Mitchell, announced plans to implement reforms to the beef industry that would place much less dependancy on the US market.

I think we are quickly learning that we can't depend on the US to operate legally within the provisions of the NAFTA or be a reliable market.

I am quite anxious to see how this works out.
