Alpha 1 is gone. This is my new handle on here.
Why did I leave? Not because of any of you yahoos. It was because of what I felt was unjustified actions of a moderator. It doesn't matter who it was, or what happened. It's water under the bridge now, and time to start over. Maybe by starting afresh, with an new name, and a bit of a more laid-back attitude on my part will help.
A few odds and ends, before I dissapear until at least the middle of October:
-I will not be participating in U.S. election threads. Taking a few weeks off, and looking at the virtual rock-throwing on here, it's just completely turned me off to those threads. I'll be talking politics again, but not till after the election.
-On the election. President Bush will win. Kerry still CAN win, and I will still hope he does, and support him, but I think the odds are against him. A pain in the ass short term, but maybe a blessing in disguse long-term for Americans and the world.
That's all I'll say about the election and politics.
-The Browns won. Nice win. I'm still not convinced they're going to win more than 6 games. I'd rather they not, and get rid of Butch Davis.
-The Buckeyes did NOT cheat, KROC, but, like I mentioned to you, they benefitted by deliberately calling a penalty in the final 10 seconds, and won the game because of it. The NCAA should seriously think about implimenting a rule that penalizes a team time off the clock for pulling a stunt like that.
-USAir will be out of business before the end of the year.
-Can mother nature please leave Florida the hell alone? THe Sunshine State has taken enough of a beating to last for a year.
Ok, I think that covers most of the news.
Out. When I'll be back, who knows. Maybe after me and the missus go away to a cabin in SE Ohio for a few days in early October.

Glad you'll be back but regret that you won't elaborate on this problem with the moderator. Think that's something we'd all like to hear about - then again, it'd probably be deleted by that same moderator in short order. Too bad.

Dude.. keep the faith.... Kerry has been behind and written-off in every race he's been in.. only to turn around and win it all! And this is no exception, the man knows what's he doing... the days of Texas running America is coming to a fast close.

I thought a prominant name was lacking from the forum. It's gunna be weird not talking to "Alpha1" anymore though, no matter who you really are. Oh well, welcome back. In the meantime, keep those CO jets on time and take pitty on those who have to hike from C-1 to D-12 to catch their flight that leaves in...oh... 7 minutes.

Another rightie here that's glad you're back. Good luck resisting the urge to stay away from the election threads. I didn't participate near as much as you, but I got sick of them just the same and avoid them the best I can unless they are marginally civil. But typically, they are just like the hurricanes; a different batch of volatile hot air; same big ugly mess in the end. Hope all is well with you and the family.
