Greetings my friends. It's the ultimate self-gloss thread, the big five-oh-oh-oh.
I joined the forums in August 1998, and since then it's been an addiction and a great honour to hang out with y'all. Highlights: starting the first post-9/11 A-v-B shitfight (seemed to cheer people up), the recent Iranair SP flight, winding up Republicans and Zionists wherever they lurk. Sad to have started the first thread with news of the Concorde tragedy in Paris. Miss JETPILOT and all the other a.netters who have vanished (or got new usernames).
Feel like I should quote some dialogue from Airport 1975 or something to celebrate, but it's late and I've drunk beer and smoked da weed. OK, just a little bit then: "Once again, skill and daring have overcome fear and anxiety."
