Well, is it? Tell us your stories, please. What about having a black cat walk in front of you? Does throwing salt over your shoulder reverse your fortunes for the better? Does breaking a mirror really cause seven years bad luck? Is it true what I've heard about stepping on sidewalk cracks with your left foot, while wearing black clothing, on a Friday that's an odd day of the month when it's overcast-that you may or may not have a bad day?

I walked under a ladder in Stockport while out with my parents 30 minutes before G-ALHG of British Midland crashed into the center in 1968. Luckily it was a sunday and there weren't many people around. It made a terrific bang i can tell you!

In my opinion, it's a load of claptrap. I have never walked under a ladder in my life. I still have a lot of bad luck. I have never done any of these superstitious things.
Don't open an umberella in the house. It is supposed to bring bad luck. Hmmmm
Don't place a pair of shoes on the table. Why not?
IMO they are all old wifes tales that mean nothing.
I love cats, especially black cats. It doesn't mean anything to me.
