My mom is a marketing education/fashion merchandizing teacher at Edmond North Highschool, Edmond, OK. Anyway, I went to visit her during my time off from class yesterday, and I noticed that the side doors into the building were all locked. Everytime I've visited her, I've always used the side door. So I headed to the front of the building and walked past the office towards my mom's room, and was stoped by a man. He asked me if he could help me. I said, "Yeah, I'm visiting my mother Mrs. G." Anyway, he told me to come to the office to check in and get a visitor badge. On our way to the office, he told me, "you're lucky I caught you before you went further into the building, otherwise the FBI and police would be all over you." "FBI?" I said? "Yup, the FBI, it hasn't been a good week for us." Anyway, I didn't ask any other questions. Well, I showed up in my mom's office, and she said, "Oh my god, did you check in at the office?" I said yes. Anyway, she told me what was going on. Apparently, someone has been leaving death threats notes all over the school. They even came up with a hit list of who they were going to kill. Most of the people on the hit list were black. My mom said at first the notes were appearing in the bathrooms, then she said that she found a note outside her classroom that said, "Kill all the Children." She pulled it down and gave it to the head office. Anyway, I highly doubt it's gang related because the school is in a very Affluent area of the OKC metroplex, but nevertheless, it's still very scary. It's weird how people are going "mad" these days.

No, I was just pointing out that the area doesn't have a gang problem, it's mainly an area for families, usually pretty successful, though some not, but it's a very peaceful community with goal oriented people.

We had a similar situation happen today in Cedar Park, TX, a suburb of Austin. It was the top story on the evening newscasts. (When I saw your topic title I thought it was going to be about what went on here today.)
Apparently two boys 15 and 16 were planning a Columbine style shooting at Vista Ridge High School. They were waiting for colder weather so they could sneak guns into the school and their plan was to whip them out at a pep rally and start shooting students. They, too had a list of students they specifically wanted to see dead.

Thank God they caught them. That's all I have to say.
