I love Thunderstorms and i was really sad that i couldn't witness "Britains worst thunderstorm for 10 years".

I live in West London and was woken around midnight by what I thought was a bomb! However, I have lived in Thailand where they have REAL thunderstorms! Still, it was unusual to hear all that thunder in London! Smile

Ryan, while i was in Bangkok we stayed at the Royal Orchid Sheraton hotel (by the river). On one side there are rooms and on the other is a passage to get to the rooms on every floor. The passages have bay windows that give panoramic views. While we were there it was sunny and hot in the day with Thunderstorms at night.

Everynight we would take chairs out of our rooms and sit in the corridor watching the Thunderstorms roll in over the centre of the city, a great sight!

I will upload some pictures to show you..

Cool photo, but sometimes it gets so bad that you can't see 10 metres in front of you. And then it rains and the water is, like a foot deep. Thing is, 30 minutes later its all gone and you would never know it had rained, due to the heat evaporating all the water!

On EGGD's photo you can see the Baiyoke 2 Tower in the background (the biggest tower), which houses one of the Westin Hotels (The one that Sophie Rhys Jones' business partner said he could arrange gay sex orgies). THAT'S where it was supposed to happen before Westin heard about it and dropped him!

I live in London. I was on the net when I heard a huge clap of thunder. The lightening was so bright. The rain was pounding horizontally off my windows. I have seen worse, but that was pretty spectacular.

My parking lot was flooded. Luckily my car survived. The wheels where submerged, but the water did not enter. The storm drains did not do their job last night.  Sad

The wind was VERY strong too.
