Go figure out the SEC. Tennessee loses a tough one at home last week, then beats #3 Georgia on the road; #1 USC gets a measure of revenge on Cal. Minnesota finds another way to lose late to Michigan; Oklahoma continues to say "who's your daddy?" to Texas; I won't mention Ohio State, since we only discuss Top 25 teams on here....

Reporting from Athens, GA:

I was at the Georgia game and boy was that tough. David Greene sucked as QB and the refs pretty much handed UT a victory. At this very moment, I'm heading to the bars to drink to forget this game.

Nebraska got owned by Texas Tech, 70-10 at Lubbock...worst loss in Nebraska history as well as the most points given up in Nebraska history...

My Buffs also got slaughtered today, 42-14 by ranked Oklahoma State, perhaps one of the more underrated teams in the country, they deserve to be at least top 15, maybe even as high as 10...

The Big 12 North is a disaster zone, no real dominant teams so far...

Both LSU and Tennessee won today, so i'm a pretty happy camper.

Great wins from the Tigers and the Vols. Those teams have a lot of heart, even if they aren't the most talented teams.

Nice cut on the Bucks, Falcon84. Yeah, it hurts to see my school lose like that, but such is life. I told a Michigan friend before the season that I thought OSU would lose at least 4 games this season. Every team should be allowed to have a rebuilding year or two.

They had 14 players go in the last draft, more than any other school. And last I heard, all 14 were still on NFL teams. Pretty good record, I'd say.

I still contend the SEC is one of the hardest conferences in the country if you exclude Vandy and both Mississippii teams (at least this year)

The SEC is a very tough conference. It is always wide open. LSU beat Florida today which rocks!

Miami didnt play but we have Louisville this week. It shouldnt be a problem.

Not only is the SEC tough, it's really f'ed up right now! UGA was on a roll towards a national championship bid. Now we've got to face Florida in a few weeks which LSU defeated. We killed LSU, but you know we'll probably lose to Florida again.

Auburn will be tough.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Auburn go to the Georgia Dome and then to Miami.

Auburn pretty much has teh GA dome trip wrapped up. No division losses and not to much opposition to speak of left (in the west).

That's a helluva team they have. Someone better start mentioning them for National Title contention. They've got a lot of talent.

They had had talent. I like Auburn generally. I still think they had a way to go before they could play OU for the title though. after watching the REd River this week I think OU is definately goin gthis year. As long as USC remains overrated I am not sure though.

I hope your team doesnt have that same mentality, becasue Louisville is a damn good team. So you might want to rethink that.

The SEC is the most competitive conference overall. What MSU doesn't have in football (at least since Sherrill's peak and waiting on the future of Croom), we make up for in baseball (historically, but even so we now have #2 highest avg attendence at home games in the entire nation) and basketball. Vandy--basketball. Ole Miss just sucks and will suck until the third generation of Mannings.

Well damn, Sherrif Roscoe's ole Miss teams suck, but thats okay because they have a high home attendence for baseball games...If anyone has been to Mississippi, you know that if you are not into lynching and burning crosses, watching a baseball game is all that there is to do there.

The Hurricanes didn't play, which meant Brock Berlin got a week off from holding back Miami's offense. He should be considered for defender of the year because single handedly he has done more to stop the Miami Offense than any other player or team. Auburn is looking solid, although the Iron Bowl at the end ofthe season is never a cake walk no matter how good one team is. LSU rebounded nicely but I'm still not sold on them. Georgia's incvonsistant play finally caught up with them. Florida might want to be on the horn to Spurrier to find out what he is doing these days, and Zook might want to be looking into moving companys who will get him out of Gainsville in the middle of the night. A young Michigan team showed allot of poise in beating back Minn. again and probably breaking them down. PSU put up a solid fight against Purdue (and cost me my Parlay since Purdue couldn't cover...bastards). The Ohio State Suckeyes lost again, and that is such a good thing is speaks for itself. Army ended its losing streak by thumping Cinncinatti, and OU stoped Texas again. The Texas D more than did its job, too bad Mac Brown is perhaps the worst 10 win coach in the Div. I. He is better off coaching some no talent third rate program like UNC, not a major program where he gets his ass handed to him every year by the teams biggest rival. His offensive game plan was horrendous and he should be fired on that alone. Then again, nobody cares about Big 12 Football anyway.

They're not that good this year AA61hvy, that's just a fact. Their defense is still pretty good, but their O is very young and inexperienced. There's talent there, but it hasn't matured yet. They'll go through a rough year this year, but they'll be back in the hunt next year.

I'm real excited about The Buckeyes vs. Texas next year. Finally OSU will play some Southern team that takes football seriously (not saying Michigan doesn't) I'd love to see OSU play Texas, then Oklahoma. Whoo that'd be an ass kicking.

The Bucks are playing the Longhorns next year? Really? Where's it at? OSU or Texas? That will be a good game, actually.

No you wouldn't. I rooted for Bowling Green there last year, and everyone was cool. This isn't like going to an Oakland Raiders game and getting pissed on if you wear visiting colors. You outta think about going. The 'Shoe is a great place to watch football. I'll go if I have the chance.

UNC beat NC State 30-24 in a great game. We are actually starting to look like a team. With a 3-3 record, we still have a chance to go to a bowl game.

I hate poll's. the ranking came out this week and i am a bit pissed off. UT only rose four spots and UGA only dropped five. What the sam heck is going on. We beat the number 3 team in the country and don't even break the top ten and they remain in the top ten? That is a load of crap on a stick.
