This, brought to you from another "fair and balanced" broadcasting group, who refused to run ABC's memorializing of U.S. soldiers on "Nightline", because it was too political.

Maybe people will actually look for an alternative to TV for once in their lives.

I encourage listening to the radio (Air America Laugh out loud

) while smoking dope, which could very soon be de-criminalized in Alaska!! In addition to Alaska; Montana, Idaho and Wyoming (all very republican) are all about to permit medicinal use of marijauna. Is the Republican party becoming the party for us potheads?

If Republicans agree with their drug policy in Alaska and the center states, W has my vote regardless of what Kerry was doing over in Nam!!

So you are not concerned about Sundance running anti-Bush documentaries? What about the networks that carry biased comedy/talk that seem to notbe subject to equal time rules.

I think the American electorate (other than the die-hard Bush fanatics) are bored and tired of the Swift boat vets and Kerry's purple hearts.

Its interesting that the Swifties come out once again once the polls show a dead heat.

If anything, Sinclair's ownership of media stations shows the danger of relaxation of media-ownership statutes over the years. And for those who trot out the usual Michael moore comparison, there is a big difference between a pro-active action by the consumer in going to a movie theater and paying money to see a Moore film in a theater where any anti-Kerry film can be screened, than censorship and blatant promotion of a single political candidate on Television where the delivery is controlled by one partisan individual.

Of course, the poor sods who are at the receiving end of this drivel can always do what anyone else can. Turn the TV off, or switch to baseball.

Ahh yes the Sundance Chanel and the Daily Show on Comedy Central are now the equivelent of a 90 minute straight attack shown on the countries largest networks during prime time viewing weeks before the election in swing states.

I wouldn't support Farenheit 9/11 or this movie being shown on prime time on the networks weeks before the election. If they want to show it on FoxNews go right ahead and if Sundance wants to show Farenheit 9/11 then go ahead but dont bring this s*%^ to the main networks.

I would suspect that this new Swift Boat anti-Kerry group ad is probably in effect an ad, partialy paid by them and probably Sinclair Narrowcasting cutting them a good deal. In past elections, fringe parties (LaRouche, others) used to buy a block of time on local stations or networks too present their campaigns. Too bad we don't have the fairness in broadcasting FCC rules anymore like years ago. I bet that these same Sinclair stations play fine family programs like "Desprite Housewives", trashy 'reality' programing, or junk talk shows like Jerry Springer. Talk about hipocrites.....

The fairness doctrine is a serious infringement on the 1st Amendment. By restricting speech it prevented people from speaking out. It would be the same thing as telling the nutcases in Leicester Square or Lafayette Park that they could not stand on their soapbox and scream bloody murder.

Only a hypocrite would want to stifle free speech.
