I got Fifa 2005 yesterday, for Playstation 2, and like every other fifa game previously, it has me addicted for the first day or two. Well, i thought the game in general was a good improvement off the pitch, in career mode, however i think they have concentrated more on that, than the football itself. I don't really see much difference in game play between F-2004 and F-2005, except that it is much easier to run through people (which is realistic i guess, and less frustrating ).
Also i find it annoying that in career mode you can only start on low league teams, however again that is for realism i guess (you aint exactly going to go straight to the top clubs in reality).
Well i started my first "career" as manager as Rushden, and we're 8 games unbeaten so far, so i cant be that bad .
Anyway, if you have this game, what do you think of it?

It's the same old FIFA, great graphics, animation and commentary, but poor gameplay, and gameplay is all that matters in footie games. Why does the ball feel as if it's stuck to the players foot? Crossing, shooting and making long passes are difficult and never go where you want them to go. The ball feels as if it weighs more than a ton and set pieces are notorious.
Compare this with the Pro Evolution Soccer series, arguably the greatest football game ever developed. I have PES, PES2, PES3 and bought Pro Evolution 4 on friday and i'm addicted! The gameplay on PES4 is light years ahead of FIFA, the graphics aren't bad and PES have more licences on three new leagues, Spanish, Italian and Dutch.

I think FIFA 05 is great. Haven't played it too much as I bought it like two days ago... but I like it so far. Naturally it's a bit tricky at first, but like the previous FIFA games, it's something you get used to.
Far better than FIFA 04 for PS2, that's for sure...
