Are you SOL? Do they stay open so that averyone who was standing on line up until the polls close can vote?

Since the turnout is reported to be huge, this is an interesting question.

I'm assuming the laws vary from state to state. I'll try to figure out something from my own state.

I may be ugly. I may be an American. But don't call me an ugly American.

As long as you are in line at 7pm local time, you will get to vote...it applies everywhere (I think).

yup, at 7:00 PM someone goes to the end of the line and starts turning people away. If the line is inside the building then they close the doors.

If you really want to do it, you will find a way; if you don't, you'll make excuses.

They said in Columbus (OH) on WBNS at noon today that everybody'll get to vote, even if people are still in line after the polls close. So as Homer said, as long as you're in line, you'll get to vote.

It's law. As long as you're in line by the time the polls close, you can vote! If they don't let you, find yourself a lawyer and/or call your local election officials.
