I think it was pretty apparent by the president's actions at tonight's press conference that he will be seeking a second term.

What do you all think?

You'll get another shot at trying to get looserboy in the house... He'll just buy the convention by handing out cigars like he bought homeless voters by handing out cigarettes.
When he looses, he'll just claim that there were too many votes so the counters could not add them on their fingers and call for all votes to others to be discarded as invalid.

Yeah, last night's episode of West Wing was a good one.

Bartlett's got my vote for President, even if he did cover up his MS.

So... he's a flaming liberal. At least he's a good one who actually has morals!  Big grin

Bush will carry on the family tradition of losing reelection.

For all of you that have absolutely NO idea what is going on...

President BARTLETT, in my opinion, WILL be going for reelection. Did you all notice how after the question was asked, he looked away, smiled, and put his hands on his hips? Remember what young Miss Lanningham said to Bartlett (the student) at the Catholic school when she asked him to confront his dad about unfair salaries?

I think they made this season finale too obvious. Last year's was better.

I guess lots of people don't watch West Wing....

Anyway, can anyone fill me in on what happened last night since I forgot to tape it.

Thanks,

Chris,

I agree, however, he never got a chance to see his promise through.

This is what I think was implied: President Bartlett runs again for reelection (a given), but does he win (that's the question) since he didn't exactly win that arguement with his father.

I still think this finale was extremely well written. Aaron Sorkin is a gifted writer. I hope his latest arrest doesn't intefere with the shooting schedule.

"But if your not going to run because your afraid of losing, then I don't even want to know you, Jed." He's running, but I suspect he is going to face a primary challenge from Vice President Hoines.

This could be the next twist. Hoines is more conservative than Bartlett and he is from Texas. Similar to the present situation in Washington, don't you think. The only thing is that Hoines is also a Democrat so he could keep much of the White House staff in his administration. So hopefully that delicious little Donna will stay on the show in the next administration.

Just my guess.

I don't think the next administration is going to 'move in' for another two seasons.

Martin Sheen signed a contract that commits him to "The West Wing" for four years. That's why I know he's gonna win the election.  Smile

Oh... gotcha.  Big grin I would have probably read it anyway.

I knew he was going to stay with the show though... how could they let go of an actor like Sheen and replace him with the guy that plays VP (not a great presidential figure, IMO).
