Looks like the car is registered in New Jersey. I wonder what college it was at. What a horrible waste of bumper stickers. Would have been better to been done on a rust bucket to hold it together, not a recent vintage car (appears to be a current generation Ford Taurus) or take all of those stickers and place one on each car in the parking lot there. At least it was done on an American made car.

That Taurus is either a 96 or 97 model, hardly current anymore especially after the 2000 restyle and 2004's mild facelift.

Most Kerry/Edwards stickers I've seen on cars have been have been on imports.

Definitely a 96 or 97 Taurus.. I liked Kerry, but I would never put any bumper stickers on my cars...

It's a good rust-proofing technique, I guess.

Yeah, I will be going down the highway at 75 (speeding) you can go ahead and pass me, I like having someone in a car that is already a giant laser target to run ahead and smoke out the cops for me.

You must not pay your own insurance or live under threat of paying your own insurance or you would keep close to the speed limit too.

So how is that mullet coming?

Dead wrong, Flight152.

There were several factors contributing to the death of the F-bodies, and the fault all leads to management at GM, and how they let the F-body family die.

First of all, let's take a look at the Camaro. The Camaro produced in 2002 (it's last year, for now) was basically the same Camaro that was produced in 1993, only with different headlights and an LS1 (in Z28 models) rather than the old LT1. That's it basically......9 entire years and no change.

By '97 or so, GM saw all the hints that fans wanted a newer Camaro.
All they did was change the headlights, and upgrade the LT1 to an LS1. It was enough to satisfy continued production of the Camaro for the next years, but GM seemed to ignore the FACT that sales began to constantly decline by the year.

And they knew why......their complete lack of effort to actually make a new Camaro.

People were getting tired of the same car...........and this would happen with any car if the manufacturor produced it the same way for a decade.

For a reason only God knows, they let this problem slide all the way until 2002, until sales were too low to satisfy production for the future. During the time period when this all happened, 1993-2002......Ford had gone threw 2-3 generations of Mustangs. Do the math......

What is the main point here?

The Camaro didn't die because it's a bad car.

It's one of the best sports cars you could ever get for around $20K, and it still is. Production stopped because of bad management at GM, it's VERY obvious.

Remarks like "If they were so great, they would still be in production" mean that you are completely ignorant about GM, the Camaro, and the F-body family in general.

Maybe you should wait until you actually know what you are talking about before you spout off again.

Isn't the Dodge Neon R/T with the turbo engine faster than the camaro, handle a bit better and cost a bit less?

Just puts it into perspective for you.

Now, back on subject, that car would have been far better had the car been a Subaru Legacy Wagon or a Volvo XC. That seems to be the vehicle of choice for our very few, but very well loved democrats in Utah  Smile We see them rushing up and down Parley's Canyon between Salt Lake City and Park City, usually doing 90+ MPH...

As for me, I'm driving a TSX, so what does that say about me? (BTW I'd NEVER put any bumper stickers on it; it's far to pretty!)

Shame, shame.....nice way to desecrate a fine automobile. Those stickers put that Taurus in the same class as, let's see.....the Merkur. At least the comparison is similar, the stickers themselves and the Merkur, that is.

Once again you have voiced your hatred of Camaro's (Which gets old). NWA742 pretty much summed it up, good post Kev!

Fanoftristars, The Neon Srt-4 is similiar priced but is slower than a LS1 Z28/SS/Formula/Trans Am but not by much though. The Srt is alright but its still a Neon, its FWD, it sounds like crap with an aftermarket exhaust, and its an ugly 4 door. If correctly modded an Srt-4 can be a killer.......But so can any car if your willing to put down the money!

Hi All,
Love to see what that car's resale value is..Maybe they can donate it to a museum as memorabilia. It's probably the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I hope it wasn't Mommy and Daddy's car.
As for the Camaro argument, it's probably not the first lame brained GM decision. They neglected their whole lineup for years and got taken to school by the Japanese..I still find their interiors dated, especially when compared to the competition. Although the interior of the Buick LaCrosse has given me some hope.
After the latest GTO debacle, I wonder if GM would consider relaunching the Firebird and Camaro.Any thoughts?

25 Jetjeanes : my 30th anniversary lt1 z28 will outrun the 2002 trans am ls6 I switched drivers and it still beat the firebird, but there basically the same car....bu
