Where is your favorite place to go camping and fishing?

What about the most successful fishing trip you have been on?

How big was the biggest fish you ever caught?

Ever been deep sea fishing? How was it?

What was your best camping experience, and why?

I want to go again sometime soon. I remember once while camping there was a flash flood and I woke up in a torrent of flood water. It dragged both me and my tent about 20 feet before I was able to get to shore.

Despite what others say, that dehydrated camping food is good!

I want to hear your stories, tips, and tricks!

Where is your favorite place to go camping and fishing?

Rideau Lakes, Ontario, Canada.

What about the most successful fishing trip you have been on?

Probably some time in the mid-1980s, when we were hauling out smallmouth and largemouth bass by the bucket.

How big was the biggest fish you ever caught?

Me, personally: edible: a 15 inch smallmouth bass. Non-edible (by my standards): a 36 inch pike. The largest notable fish was a nearly 2 lb. freshwater perch.

Ever been deep sea fishing? How was it?

Never done it.

I love camping. I have a small mountain tent that I take and pitch by myself. I usually camp at state or provincial parks, in a spot near the restrooms so it's well lit and I'm not in a remote place. Unfortunately, now I have to get an electric site because I usue a CPAP machine at night... But it's still small enough that the "camping experience" isn't too spoiled.

Where is your favorite place to go camping and fishing?

Broadlands, Southampton.

What about the most successful fishing trip you have been on?

Was when I was freshwater fishing at "The Common" in Southampton, I landed myself one of the biggest fish in the lake! A nice Mirror Carp. Weighed in at over 17lbs! Big grin

How big was the biggest fish you ever caught?

See above...  Big grin

Ever been deep sea fishing? How was it?

Nope never!  Sad

What was your best camping experience, and why?

When I woke up freezing my ass off and my teeth rattling... It was a learning experience that's for sure!

I will have to go again one day!

Cheers,

Lots of pictures coming from me  Smile
I started fishing last year, and after two times I was hooked  Smile When I started I was taking fish with me, but after few months of doing so I could not stand cleaning fish anymore. Everytime I went fishing I had plenty of fish. So right now I'm just keeping one fish out of 50 cought.

Where is your favorite place to go camping and fishing?
- I've been fishing only in Maryland, DC and South Carolina, my favorite place for fishing must be Fletchers Boat House on Potomac River. Also I like Swain Lock on Potomac River, thats where I sometimes stay for the night.
Picture taken after Isabele's visit last year

What about the most successful fishing trip you have been on?
- It depends which category. Bigest fish or quantity?
I've cought my biggest fish on Potomac River. It was 20 pounds Blue Catfish caught on chicken liver. In regards to quantity my best fishing trip was on my wedding night  Smile Yes, wedding night. I took my wife with me on a headboat at North Beach Maryland on the Chesapeak Bay. We've got over 80 fish, in total of over 40 pounds. Mostly Sea Traut, Spot, Stripers, Croakers and Blue Fish.

Ever been deep sea fishing? How was it?
-Yes I was. First time in Virginia Beach. It was night fishing. We didn't cought anything! I was very dissapointed. Next time I went on the headboat (read above), and there we've got lots of fish. If you consider Chesapeak Bay as a deep sea fishing then in November guys from my company chartered boat. It was 11 of us and we cought limit of 22 stripers (limit two per person, over 18 inches).

Here is nice place for fishing. Point Lookout, MD.

19 pounds Carp from Potomac River. Taken from the river at the end of runway 19 at DCA.  Smile

Eels from Chesapeake Bay  Smile

Few pictures of Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass (mostly Potomac River)

3 pounds Pike taken from Robinson Lake in South Carolina

15 inch Wallaye cought in the C&O Canal (my only Wallaye ever cought)

My biggest American Shad ever cought (2.5 pounds)

This is what my father in law cought in SC on Lake Robinson. 12 pounds Largemouth. Now is hanging in the living room  Smile

After fishing for 3 hours on the Potomac River. Stringer full of Channel Catfish

Yes, I am obsessed with the fish  Smile

Where is your favorite place to go camping and fishing?
Chain 'O Lakes State Park, Albion, IN

What about the most successful fishing trip you have been on?
Largemouth Bass: Miller, Rivier and Mud Lakes at Chain 'O Lakes, my buddy and I combined for 17, about half of which were tournament fish.

Smallmouth Bass: Hurshtown Res. just north of Fort Wayne. Caught 3 (I don't smallie fish much)

Rainbow Trout/Crappie: Sand Lake at Chain O' Lakes, I caught 17 rainbow and 12 crappie. Here we still fish for trout at night at around 10 feet with a night-crawler. The crappie pole is at around 3 feet with a live minnow.

Walleye/White Bass: Only have done this once in Lake Erie and got my limit on Walleye and several White Bass. I also caught a nasty sheephead.

Bluegill: Snow Lake, IN caught a 8" gill on light tackle. I don't really bluegill fish anymore.

Channel Catfish: at a friend's pond, caught five 15-pound+ channels. Those are are great sport fish.

How big was the biggest fish you ever caught?
My biggest was a channel cat, but I really only fish for largemouth bass now. My biggest to date is 6 lbs. I have to work on that.

Ever been deep sea fishing? How was it?
No

What was your best camping experience, and why?
Any experience involving a fishing trip

We have to worry about tornadoes. When those hit and you're in a tent, you're f#@ked. You have to hope there's a bathroom around to pile in.

Despite what others say, that dehydrated camping food is good!
Never tried it. We use ice, coolers and real food.

This is the only recent fish picture. Its only about 3 pounds but its a beauty (pregnant even).
