That's pretty lame on the part of the school system. There's nothing in the contract that says anything about this, so I think she'd have a pretty good case if she sued to get her job back.

I think she should keep her views on such personal matters to herself, but I don't see where this was a fireable offense.

I agree 100%. No common sense by either party here. She should keep her trap shut about that stuff around the kids, but IMHO that was worthy of no more than a verbal repremand (at the VERY most).

Lets think about this.........

Cigarette companies "provide" cigarettes to people which kids can smoke and we all know how bad they are, yet the cigarette company representatives don't get fired.

Yet a BUS DRIVER opens her mouth and she gets fired. This country is so messed up.

Thats like saying that no aeronautical research in the past 100 years has allowed humans to make a 2 hour nonstop flight to Mars.

Embryonic stem cell research only picked up steam in the mid 90s. Before the advent of certain molecular biological techniques in the early 90s, much of this research was impossible.

This dimwitted busdriver should be allowed to say her piece and be exposed for the dullard she is.
