Can you believe the plot for this movie?? To have Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell as actors who work on a new sitcom "Bewitched" but Nicole's character is actually a real witch.

Now, I am quite a fan of the original show - why mess with a successful concept????

'Cause Hollywood has no original ideas, that's why!

WHY Will Ferrell???? Jim Carey would have been the perfect Darrin. Hell, he even looks like Dick York.

The one thing that might have made this movie funny would be having the actors playing Darrin change in the middle of the movie, not unlike what happened in the series.

Jim Carrey would have been absolutely perfect! However I believe he currently has LImmeny Snicket obligations to attend to - shame really.

Sadly, nooooooo!

THAT's where Ferrell could have come in.

My ideas for best choices to play additional roles:

Larry Tate: Dabney Coleman

Endora: Glen Close

Maggs swings, it's a drive deep to left! The Tigers are going to the World Series!!!

I had always seen Lauren Bacall as the obvious choice to play Endora.

I understand that Larry Tate does not make an appearance in the film  Sad

Methinks 'Liz Montgomery just rolled in her grave...
...along with the rest of the cast, many of whom died quite young.

In fact, I think Erin Murphy ("Tabitha") is the sole-surviving recurrent character from the original series*  Crying

*not the HORRIBLE spin-off
