I was pulled over once but didn't get a ticket.
Otherwise, and especially since then, I do not do anything to attract the attention of the state troopers on the highway. I find that under most conditions I can sail along between 75 and 80 mph (posted limit on most interstates around me is 65) without a problem. Fast enough to get around the slow pokes and to convince me that I am making good time, but not fast enough to attract the attention of the police.

An acquaintance had one framed, hanging on his wall. He was written for 165 mph on Interstate 5 near Buttonwillow California. He was timed by an airplane, which he outran, and stopped by a CHP car ahead of him.
You can outrun the car but you can't outrun the radio.

Knock on wood (my head), no speeding tickets for me yet! However, it's of course kind of relieving that there are still some places where we're allowed to do as much as we want... and yes it does feel good.

Best speeding ticket story is from a freind of mine who was doing 95 MPH on a motorbike in Britain. The cops pulled him off the motorway to the next junction (or exit), whereby the cop got out of his car and said to my friend, "Evening, Wing Commander. Having trouble getting airborne are we?"

Caught: never, as I don't really speed
Did: 230+ in a 911 C2 at night...didn't dare to go any faster, since at night there was less traffic, but when going that speed, things come at you VERY quickly...
I guess that's what happens in the end, you start thinking about the beginning.

Fastest I've ever gonna is 121 mph in a 55.
Worst I ever got ticketed for: 91 in a 60. (Cop dropped to down to 81 after I told him that I had just caught my then-girlfriend in the shower with another guy, while we were on vacation together!!!! Slut!)

My little brother was ticketed at 124 MPH in our father's GT-V6. The cop called our father who came and picked Kieran up (amazingly the police officer allowed him to avoid jail and return with Dad). Our father simply wanted to know from my brother "How did you do that?" meaning how did you talk your way out of going to the hoose-gow. Little brother misunderstood the question, thinking he was being interrogated with a "how could you do this to us type question) and, trying to mitigate punishment by showing some sense of responsibility, replied "Well, Dad, I was slowing down 'cause I saw someone flashing their lights to signal there was a cop ahead, and I just could'nt get slow enough to avoid getting caught."
Needless to say , even though Dad was quite impressed by little brother's ability to talk his way out of going to jail as well as his driving ability, he was removed from the insurance policy after than and had to use his own car for anything he wanted.

Did 160 kph all the way from Kassel to Puttgarten this past summer. I suppose that's the fastest I've done - wanted to go faster, but the car was loaded pretty heavy, so I didn't want to risk anything.
Kinda fun to drive 10 km's without seeing any other cars in either direction

Worst ever was 95 mph in a 55 mph going to work late. I came up behind the sheriff, and he gave me a ticket for 85 in a 55. I should have been pulled over for doing 110 mph on I-5 chasing after a girl we thought was cute...but no one saw me...

Well, I don't actually drive, but I've not been with someone who got caught. Fastest on a motorway about 120mph, Plymouth to Heathrow in under three hours, that was going some Country road, 105mph very early one Saturday morning last year with no one about, and on a single track 70mph, only a few days ago coming home late at night through well known lanes, that was quite fun

80 in a 65. No breaks though. I was in my Alfa Romeo speeding down highway 280. I got pulled over by CHP and the officer came up to my car and just looked at me for seemed like several minutes through his mirrored sun glasses. I noticed his name tag "R. McDonald"...I could not resist. I will have a Big Mac Large Fries and a Chocolate Shake. My GF at the time started laughing so hard... Officer McDonald was NOT amused. BUSTED....
I have gone MUCH faster but NOT been caught... I am LOOOOOONG over due.

Wow, some of you guys are lucky never to have been caught speeding. I've been caught at least 5 times, but I always speed, seems I can never go slow, damn! The fastest I've gone is 230 km/h and that was in a Mercedes SLK.
The fastest speeding ticket in SA was given to a guy driving at 270 km/h in a 120 zone, but hey, he was driving a Ferrari 360 Spider!

Farthest from the limit I've done sofar is probably about 120km/h or so in a 90 zone. But hell everyone goes between 120 and 140 there there, even the rcmp. (yes, in winter there are quite a few people that go sliding into the ditch along there)
What could possibly go wrong?
