Why is it that men in the 90's and now the noughts are wondering why women have all of a sudden decided that they want intelligent, gentle and wealthy men for husbands?
Why is it that other men and women think 'men' are pigs?
Why is it that men who sleep around are called 'studs' and women who do the same are called sluts?
Why is it that men get upset when some women sleep their way to top jobs when they are the ones screwing them?
Why is it that men think they are perfect when women are the ones behind the 'man'? (Cooking, cleaning, looking after the kids..)
Why is it when a man has sex with a woman and makes her pregnant he bitches when he has to pay child support?
Why don't as many women rape men as men rape women?
Why are more men incarcerated in prisons than are women?
Why are so many domestic violence incidents always caused by men?

I am just as liberal as you here on these forums. However, when it comes to this whole men vs. women B.S. I don't buy into any of it.
It is a womans' job to serve her man and stand beside him. Womem are starting to realize it is almost imposible to be Carol Brady and Oprah Winfrey at the same time.
I work in 'corporate America' with a lot of overly ambitious women that sleep there way to the top. I think it is disgusting! Many of them are married too!
I wouldn't trust these kind of women as my wife. That's why the women I am going to marry is going to be an Elemantary School Teacher. All she will be working around is fat middlie-aged women. There will be no temptation in that field to sleep with a school Principle to be rewarded with what? Counselor? No!
A women who sleeps around is not a slut! I would consider here a 'good friend'.

ok this is what pisses me off....
Women are always campaigning for equal rights, and they just about have them but there is still predjudice against them (me as one). Firstly, alot of women are scared of simple things, spiders for example, and especially among young girls they scream when just the slightest thing happens.
Furthermore when you are travelling they don't want to carry the bags, and always have to wear makeup, if they don't they don't go out. I mean come on, i know that not all women are like that and some should be treated equally but if they honestly want respect they are going to happen to shape-up.

I think part of the problem with women and today's society is the liberalization of our culture. Cheating and lying are no longer frowned upon in many circles, in fact some people do indeed enjoy using those powers to their benefit, either in the workplace or just as a self-esteem booster. What ever happened to moral values? The same moral values that I was taught as a kid do not seem to exist much anymore...Maybe that is why we see so much infedelity, violence among kids, teenage pregnancy, etc, today. Men haven't changed much, we have always been pigs, but there is a definete difference between women now and women 20 years ago. There are definetely too many bleach-blonde, SUV driving, mega-bitches in the world today, which I think is them getting revenge on men for treating them like property for hundreds of years!

Well, I think that women have been wanting those qualities in a man for a long time. I also think that good men have been aware of this fact for an equal amount of time.

I guess I can't answer this one. Again, I would caution you against making harsh generalizations such as this one. Give women a little more credit.

Because it works?! It's almost like they are shooting themselves in the foot. There is a solution to this. It's that old, hackneyed concept of monogomy that I've always seemed so fond of.

Well, I'm a man, and I don't think I'm perfect. Watch that generalization thing. This may seem sort of novel, but I regard raising children as a higher calling than earning daily bread. Sure, I get to enter the workplace, and it will be a great experience. But my wife will get to witness every little spurt of growth in our children. I'd say that I envy her station. She is spectator to all life's purities.

Granted, rape, assault, etc. are unhealthy manifestations of male aggression. Those activities reflect poor values in life, and a lack of refinement. However, the male instict to be aggressive can be put to good use, and has a distinct purpose - put food on the table. Now, I am a kind and softspoken individual. But when push comes to shove, I will defend my interests. Any good man would.

Men have longer arms than women. If you compare a normally size woman and man of comparable reflexes, the man will always be able to strike first.
Men act the way they do because they can . Women are responsible for the most important component in life...reproduction and the nuturing of young. But, men have the key to the lock...
People are often treated in a way which belies their actions/intentions. Simply put, life just isn't fair, and this is true all the way down to our sexuality. Males are genetically programmed such that they have dominance over females, even though the female has a far more important role in life.

With all due respect, if any man ever even contemplated hitting a woman, he should be slammed up in jail. It is 100% unexcuseable for men to hit women - under ANY circumstance. There is never an excuse for such a course of action.
To know this and believe it should merely be good 'Gentlemenly' qualities, surely? Or are we in the Ole' South the only ones who have good manners & values? (Spare me the redneck analogies)
