is arguably the best site ever. Click on 'Album Archive' in the top right hand corner and you've got a list of most of the Albums around. Sound quality's a bit shite mind.
To show us you favorite 'rare' tracks, ULR us up with the artist's page and tell us the name of the song and the album.
Or, if you want to leave the band name anonymous, to avoid preconceptions...
Find your Artist and the appropriate album.
Play the song in Windows media, click on File>Properties and paste the location URL onto your post
To play, click File>Open URL and paste it into there.
I'll leave it up to you to decide if a track is 'rare'. It can be an album track or a single, it doesn't matter how famous the band are either, as long as its a song you truly like. Just avoid putting down 'Stairway to Heaven' or something like that.

OK, these songs are from a local band, The Last Romance. I'm friends with the members and I personally think they're awesome. They've just released a 4-song sample CD and are working on a full one. The site below has 2 great songs of theirs for download, "Last Repent" and "Dear Insincere":

There were two radio stations I listened to in high school that played rare songs. It was really annoying because they would play the song once or twice and no one ever heard of them after that! Rarely did they say what the song is and who sings it.
Heaven Give Me Words by Propoganda
Onionskin
Samantha (The Abortion Song)
We've got the power to build the highest tower/standing with our feet on the ground/We've got the power/together we can make it/together we can blow the house down
As always, I have to mention my favorite band from Europe (Estonia to be exact): Caater. Currently on tour in Finland and Poland with Trinity.

One of my favorite rare songs is "Cooky Puss" by the Beastie Boys. It was originally released as a single but then showed up on one of their later albums. The song basically follows an exasperated b-boy as he calls the local Carvel ice cream store and tries to convince the staff to let him speak to Cooky Puss.

OYRJA - I thought Om Lidt was done by Kim Larsen after he went solo?
A somewhat rare song I have (I think so), is Simon & Garfunkel - Silent Night where a part of the 7' O'Clock news from the early 70's have been put into the background. Quite sobering stuff.

Vibrolux by Scumbucket... Coming from the album 'Batuu'. If you like heavy music with a singer that doesn't grunt and if can find it somewhere on Kazaa, check it out. Very underrated band...

Was digging thru some old disc's I'd made a few years back and found these:
"Forever Autumn" Justin Heywood (From 1978 "War Of The Worlds")
"This Night Won't Last Forever" Michael Johnson
"Hold On" Ian Gomm
"Jackie Blue" Ozark Mountain Daredevils
"Moonlight Feels Right" Starbuck
"Thunder Island" Jay Ferguson
"Lonely Boy" Andrew Gold
And probably the only foreign language song to reach #1 in the U.S.
"Sukiyaki" Kyu Sakamoto

Hey MYT, "Strawberry Letter 23" is the first song I heard on the radio as I drove off a used car lot in my first car, a 1966 baby blue Continental, way back in 1977.

25 Logan22L: A somewhat rare song I have (I think so), is Simon & Garfunkel - Silent Night where a part of the 7' O'Clock news from the early 70's have been put in
26 Aerobalance: 'How much I feel' - Ambrosia 'Reminiscing' - Little River Band 'Longer' - Dan Fogelberg 'Lovin' you' - Minnie Riperton
27 MYT332: Tristarenvy, that's cool as is the song, albeit old! It's pretty mellow isn't it, yet funky too.
28 CPH-R: Logan22L, thanks for clearing that up. The guy that sent it to me told me that it was from the early 70's, but obviously he was wrong!
