Not that it matters much, but.....

The irony of all this smoke is that the day’s only practical election news came not from Columbus, but from St. Paul. There, one of Minnesota’s ten electors presumably messed up big time and voted not for John Kerry, but for John Edwards. So — the Electoral College vote will change — now it’ll be Bush 286, Kerry 251, Edwards 1.

Wow. Not suprising coming out of a liberals mouth. MAybe they should try to learn their candidates name before discussing welfare and abortion.

That will be an amusing historical footnote.

However, I'm not sure it has anything to do with the illiteracy of 'liberals', as suggested above. Sad to see how little a username change can do.

Next flight.... who knows.

I see you haven't changed much, BC04, despite your thread claiming you would.

N670UW, come on that is the truth. It is not stupid to place your electoral vote for the wrong candidate?

Well, if you want to split hairs and consider the guy "stupid", I guess I'll do the same thing.

"Wow. Not surprising coming out of a liberal's mouth. Maybe they should try to learn their candidate's name before discussing welfare and abortion."

I'm guessing that the guy voted for Edwards because either (a) it really doesn't matter who he voted for, given the outcome of the electoral vote, (b) he was one of the many (including myself) who would rather see Edwards as the presidential nominee than Kerry, or (c) because he wanted to make a point that the Electoral College is easily manipulated.

Of course, it's so much easier to jump to a conclusion if your party tells you what to think - right, "Bravo7e7"?

Create your own luck.

BC04, I guess that means that only liberals make errors, according to your logic.

Bravo7e7 does not represent the majority of republicans folks. He gives us a bad name. He's just another stupid, smart-mouthed kid that doesn't know what he's talking about. So please don't take what he says as representative of conservatism.

Kid: Here's a hint. You lose a lot of credability when you make blanket generalizations like "oh, it's just because he's a stupid liberal." I mean, for God's sake, that's just about one of the dumbest statements I've seen in a while and you're just asking for problems. Maybe when you get older you'll realize that you alone do not have the lock on truth and perhaps, just perhaps, maybe you can learn something from someone else. This whole "I am right and you are wrong" mentality has got to go. Try to understand another's point of view and try to learn from them, even if you do disagree with them. It will ultimately make you a better, more-informed person.

Steve

BCAInfoSys, I may be as guilty of that as BC04 at times, but you said that well, and that should give us all something to think about. Well said.

Apparently, like in 2000 Democrats can't figure out a ballot. Even those in the Electoral College.
