I am looking for instructions as to how to connect via Aol and phone line to the internet while running in safe mode. I understand this is done through DOS. Could someone list the procedure prompt by prompt if it is not too long, it would be appreciated.

The only way (and I've tried, works) to connect to the internet is to run "Safe Mode With Networking", then ensure that your computer has a LAN card connected to a router+dsl modem combo, which in turn is connected to the internet

Yea, I think it is Safe Mode With Networking. But what operating system are you running? If its 2000/03 or XP, Safe Mode With Networking should work. With 98/ME im not sure. And yes, your first mistake, is AOL, dump that shit man, for that price you could be getting DSL for god sakes.
