I have decided to move this topic from the Aviation Hoby section because it seems that its less populated section.

I have this game on Playstation 2 called Aero Elite. Is anyone familiar with this game???

Anyway, when Im flying over a city at 1000 feet or even 2000 feet, it does not look like that Im flying at those altitudes. The land elevation is 20 feet.

My question is, when these flight simulator games are programed, are they programmed to look as if you were to be flying at 2000 feet in real life????? Because when flying at 2000 feet in the game, it does not seem to be 2000 feet it seems that the ground is closer than flying at 2000 feet in real life.
