I'm anxious to see the movie the last movie from Almodóvar called "Mala Educación" [Bad Education]. I never ever see his films before.

How do you like them?

I think his films are very original and challenging, and I've enjoyed those I've seen very much. I particularly liked All About My Mother and Talk to Her. I can't wait to see Bad Education. Almodovar tackles difficult subjects in a thought provoking manner, and I think he's a great filmmaker.

I'm not dumb. I just have a command of thoroughly useless information.

Sound weird, but he's not much appreciated in his country. He said so recently in an interview at CNN en Español.

" Nadie es profeta en su tierra".

He is like some users here. He used shock value to gain a select audience.

I've see 3-4 of his movies, honestly too many, and they all have that same drive to them.

Almodovar is Cheap, low, they love the kitch stuff to appeal the viewer, muy guarro: The use of the colors, the extreme characters, the hard aesthetic...

Is it bad? not necessarily, because if you like to see his proposal it could be a very interesting director, as Jodorowsky (although I don't even think of comparing them).

Almodovar has to be understood in his own dimension of grotesque cinema. I like him a lot, but in the strict point of view, I think he is not a very good director....

I have some friends who have seen it, and one of them (female) couldnt stand it anymore and left the cinema 30min after the movie started.

Mala educacion is about a gay priest who has sexual intercourse with small kids during 2hrs, so my suggestion is that if you enjoy watching this kind of horrible acts, then go watch it  Smile

Definitely not. I don´t like that kind of movies.

The main reason to see it, is that I belong to a "Cine Forum" of my Alma Mater. So I don´t have a choice.

But I think, for what you tell me, that I will be more than critic!

Almodovar is not atheist, but agnostic. He says that he don´t hate religion, but.... Will see.

Thanks for the advice, that are always welcome!
